Nice picture. It wouldn't be nearly as funny if he said he was 52 and had gloves. ;D

I like it. ;D
But it must look ridiculous on males. Especially Galkas. XD

Oh it does. Male tarus pull it off rather well though. Galkas... no. Their idea of a "Jig" is hilarious too, they just stomp.

Holy shit, 800 EXP in a single monster? Times have changed since my days... xD How do people level these days? Is it still the 6 man parties? I noticed you're Trio'ing there... Is that the common way to level?

At level 30+, parties are very scarce up until level 75. People solo or do Fields of Valor. Or like us, duo/trio.
However, there is a chance you can get into an Abyssea group with luck after level 30. I went from level 32-50 in a single group.
There are rumors however that they're gonna increase the level limit to get into Abyssea areas, but we'll see.
The point is, if someone lets you join an Abyssea alliance, EXP rolls in like you've never seen before in your life.
FFXI, in general, is 1000 times easier than it ever was.
800 EXP was with one of the EXP increasing bands. But still, that means it gave over 600 EXP without the band. It was an IT as well, and with 3 people... yeesh. They added new bands that DOUBLE EXP gained, like the Anniversary Band. If you come back now, you can get one before the event ends.

Monsters out of abyssea give roughly double exp that they would have given in the past.
Example: Even matches were always 100 exp; now they are 200.
Soloing is painfully easy with dancer. Even if it is painfully slow at most times. So glad I never have to level that again (until the next level cap raise...).
Abyssesa is crack. There are parties there I could get upwards of 100-120k an hour. It takes a while to build up, and the first hour usually won't net you much of anything, but holy crap after that. Farming isn't really a necessity any more either. Whatever money (curor) you get in there, you can convert to armor which npcs for roughly 7k gil each. That's 7k gil for 2.5k curor... And I got 120k curor last night in a few hours.
In other words, the game is more accessible than it ever was. I do miss parties outside of Abyssea, as I hardly ever see them, but you can now solo inbetween LFG lag times... so it works out I guess.

So you are paying $20 for a hat? That seems, kinda crazy.

Yep. Especially to those of us who already own the expansions. I won't be buying it. <_<

Well no. I have two accounts active, Yvondith and Yhamuna. Yhamuna did NOT have all the expansions, and without them, is unable to get level cap. When I bought this, I was able to give her the expansion keys, and unlock all the expansions for her. I was able to give the hat to Yvondith.
I posted the instructions on the hat because Dejibo asked me to.

Actually that's not true anymore with the new Grounds of Valor but we all know that's no comparison. <.< I got THF from 68 to 80 PLUS 12 merits in, what, three hours? Maybe not even. That's over 150k/hr. The grind is gone, finally, and you can still play your Jobs. Well, mostly, I guess. RDMs kinda lost their place, along with BRD and COR.
Though god, PUP is AWESOME.

Yhamuna will be ready for Abyssea soon. I bought her a Noble's Tunic, Blessed Gloves, and Blessed Pants. She still needs the Blessed Pumps, and a Staff. I may say fark it on accessories, but she's getting there. Taking a little break from Miss Taru, I'm a bit DNC burned out right now. Playing with my other characters today. I hate to admit it, but I still have loving feeling for mangy old Yhamuna. She's 8 years old now. I see those bright sparkly blue eyes and just love her all over again. I still have another kitty on Yvondith's account. Just in case I have to cancel Yha again in the future.

Been listening to old school FFXI music, did you ever notice there's demonic laughter in the Castle Zvahl song? <.< Cuz there totally is.
