I posted this in the general video game chat thread. Yeah it looks pretty crappy. My huge problem is not so much Wily or Light, but Roll. That dumb look she has on her face in all of her shots. Her VOICE! Ugh! XD But thanks to this video I finallyget the whole "Rock and Roll" thing. I didn't notice that before. I noticed "Treble and Bass" in MM7 though

Bah, who cares it was only one post anyways. Just forget it and lets keep this thread open for all discussion about this.
Maybe we can add other crappy game to movie discussions in the future here too. We shall see.

Well they aren't according to the general consensus. But who cares about that anyway? Most people hated the Resident Evil films but I loved them. I will watch this Mega Man movie too whenever its out. Even though it looks craptastic. But hey, you can never let a crappy movie ruin your enjoyment of the game.

The Resident Evil films at least took the game's basic story and ran with it...it wasn't like that abysmal Mario Bros movie that now is only successful in utter camp value. >.>
...and then there are just plain BAD movies like the Double Dragon one.

Hey! I like Mario Bros. I do! Hey, stop looking at me like that....(I really do like the movie. its great, but its fun).
Resident Evil 1 & 2 were good, 3 was...well...ok. Not bad, just ok.
Street Fighter, Double Dragon, those Tomb Raider movies...UGH.
Now...Mega Man?! *shivers*
And I know its not game related, but I doubt Transformers 2 will be any good (the first one was awful).
I also have my doubts about G.I. Joe...

I liked Transformers. I didn't see anything wrong with it. It was like watching a live action Saturday morning cartoon. Which is really all it was intended to be anyways.

Well, I didn't like Transformers because it focused WAY too much on the humans and not enough on the Transformers. I really didn't find it anything like the Transformers I grew up with either. The look of the TFs was totally different and so were the attitudes of the characters (Optimus and Megatron just didn't seem quite right imo). And I just didn't like any of the humans. If they had taken the humans out of the story or given them a lesser role and stayed more true to look and feel of the Transformers, then it would have been a good movie. The Transformers animated movie is still the best TF movie in my book! I'm hoping against hope that G.I. will be better. The recent preview for it looked interesting...but I have my doubts.... Oh and to take it back to the orignal point of the post....I can't see Mega Man working well as live action. CGI maybe? Possible. As for other game movies, I've always wanted to see a Legend of Zelda movie. It would have to be done Lord of the Rings style I think. Big budget, lots of creatures, full fantasy setting. Anything less and it could be pretty lame... DF2506

Yeah, I agree with the fact that the humans played a bigger role in the movie than the Transformers themselves did. And it is a bit strange considering the movie is called "Transformers" and not "Humans". I think it was done intentionally though. So people who didn't grow up with the show would have a cast main characters to identify with. Having that is important in any movie. My big gripe was the Megatron didn't transform into a tank. Do you remember that big, honking action figure back in the day? That thing was HUGE! I know in the cartoon Megatron transformed into a pistol. But that tank thing was so bad-ass!

I never liked Transformers, even though people in this house thought I did. >.>
I can't wait to see how Bay fucks up the new one.

I was a big fan of Beast Wars back in the day. More so than Transformers. Although here in Canada it was called Beasties cause Canada has this retarded thing where you can't have the word war or anything that promotes killing in the title of childrens entertainment. Kinda like how Europe renamed the Ninja Turtles to the Hero Turtles.
So you say you didn't like Transformers but people thought you did. Does that mean you got a lot of Transformers toys growing up?
