On another LotR kick thanks to TNT showing it again last weekend. I caved, and bought the extended version off amazon the other night. Only because, I got the $80 set for $40. >_> It doesn't come with the collector's box, but I have verrry little intention of ever selling it back. I've been pretty down lately. Too much shit at once I guess. Our grandmother had a stroke last week and she'll recover, but it was compounded with the thief relatives on the same weekend. LotR was the only thing that got me through those nights. I may have gotten a raise and more hours but it still boils down to me being in the same kinda place forever. I want to get out of here and I can't. It's not as simple as just moving out, I need the money to do it and with my car, phone, loans, and insurance, that's not an option, since I doubt a landlord will accept my discover card as rent. I've been managing my money fairly well though lately, and I've put aside $1000 but it's for emergencies only pretty much. I've learned to always have some money ready for anything. Last year I didn't when my car died, and I suddenly needed $10k. Yeah well, that isn't gonna happen again. I'm hesitant to say I'm lonely because I know that if I had someone, I'd be wanting to pull my hair out, but I do regret how distant I've become with my friends, and since two of them are getting married next year I'll be hearing even less from them. Gonna suck being a part of their weddings and having to deal with those thoughts all night. I think it's more I wish I was so financially sound, that I wouldn't have to worry about a damn thing. Which leads to more "I gotta go back to school but I can't afford it" crap. Endless cycle. I dunno if my mood lately is because I'm just tired or I need happy pills or what, but it's getting annoying and I'm sick of feeling like this. I was kinda hoping that by the time I was typing this sentence, that by typing this out I'd feel somewhat better. That never works.

Well it may not make you feel better but it sure doesn't make you feel worse, am I right? its good to get things off your chest so you don't bottle shit inside. Bottling sucks so its important to let out. Even if it is on a bunch of nerdy, interweb friends I understand the lonely (but getting annoyed) part. I deal with that a lot too. I too have become distant with friends. I am trying to get more involved my one friend that i had since grade 3 that we only started keeping in touch again over the last month. Sorry to hear about your grandma.

Well I'm always here to talk to him. I worry about my Grandmother for the same reasons. I see her once a week now, at least, and call her every day to check on her. She's coming over tomorrow to spend some time with me. I gotta take my one cat, Sugar to the vet soon, her eye seems like it's bugging her, she won't open it all the way, and it's watery. I hope everything is OK, hope she just has a hair in it or something.

I am sorry to hear about your grandmother. that sucks, and then to have the wolves show up at the door. Steph knows exactly what you are talking about. If it were not for her, certain other relatives would swoop in and clean the old lady out. I think she is happy steph is on her own, but seems lonely. And your friends are right, keeping shit bottled up isnt good either. come here and vent. Good job at keeping money to the side. its awful to have an emergency and look up to see you have no money for food.
Me? ah, same old shit. dont feel good, surgery here, drugs there. see this MD, and then that MD. each MD gets a longer and longer name to his title. really pisses me off. I just want to be left alone.

Yay! I have an interview for a new position. NO MORE DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS! WOOOOOOOO!
I will be right under the big boss of the entire company handling all the admin stuff for the systems we use. There are two people that do this job and hopefully I will get it and be one of them. One of the girls who is going against me for the position has no one on her side. My manager and ops manager are both pushing for me. Also the other guy who is already doing the job likes me and wants me too. So I think if I can impress the big boss I can do it.
Woo!

Good for you! Customers are bitches.
Went out with my old grade 3 friend last night, got drunk, had fun. Crashed at his place for the night. I woke up and his dad was on the computer, a Mac. I was curious about it so he showed me around with the features and shit. And I gotta say, Mac's are a lot differant than they were when I was a kid using them in highschool. They are SO much better now. I was really impressed with what I saw. I especially like how the computer itself is just the moniter with no tower. What a space saver.
I will be in the market for a new computer once Vegas is all done with. I never would have even considered looking at Macs but now I am actually thinking about it. But I'm not 100% sure yet. I mean I KNOW PC's I've been using em for years. Mac would be a whole new dimension of things to get used to and learn. But at the same time too, a new PC would mean I'd have to get Vista so I'd be in the same boat. And I've heard nothing but bad things about Vista so I don't want to get something if I know I won't like it.
Decisions, decisions.

I'm sure it looks great on that Mac screen. It was much larger than my moniter and I always thought my moniter was a decent size.

I got a job offer in an email but I feel so totally underqualified for it...I guess I can at least give them a call. They offer benefits but you have to pay for them just like I do at JCP, and they're only offering $10/hr at second shift time. So, 2p-10p Mon-Fri. I'm not sure I like that. Plus, it's a 45 min drive each way. I'm not thinking it's such a good idea. :/ Loving LotR, I regret not getting into this when it first came out but hey I'm catching up.

I am still in the market for a new puter. I promised Steph my current one when I do. I HATE Vista, and that has been my major hang up. 2009 they are supposed to release a new version of Windows and that will catch my attention, but I have seriously been considering a mac. I am hearing more good things about Mac, and may head to the mac center in the big city to see um demonstrated. They come with a good back up policy and free classes. I really want a new one, and that would be awesome.
Does mac run FFXI?

Oh, I'm glad you haven't forgot about me. Seconded, on hating Vista. God it's such an obnoxious pain in the ass. "Are you SURE you want to run that program?!" As far as I know, Mac can not run FFXI. It's Windows only. I have to go to the Doctor today about my meds. I've went back on my bipolar/antidepression meds, but one of them is making me sick, so I gotta stop that one. We may also go and get Granny a kitty today, I want to help her pick one out. She wants a kitten... if she gets a kitten, I'll have to help raise it for a while, because he'll be HELL on 4 feet.

Yes maggie! Join the Mac community! Its fun!
As for running FF>.. Technically no. However, with the new Macs, you can run bootcamp and the ninstall windows XP or Windows vista. YOu have to of course have a version of either, but you can run both the mac operating system, and windows on the same machine. Just restart to go into windows and stuff.
Macs are great though. If you play lots of Windows games, maybe not so much, but there are work arounds, and they are developing lots of new games for us. Spore comes out on the mac next week!!!

The no games thing doesn't really bother me sicne all I play on it is WoW anyways. But there may be a time where Warhammer replaces WoW, I don't know if it will or not, but if it does I'm sure its PC only deal. I know Microsoft had a experiment not long ago called the Mojave expirement. Basicaly they asked people what they hated about Vista then afterwards gave them Vista to try out again only this time telling them that it was a new operating system caled Windows Mojave. The advertising commercial I saw had a few people being happy with what they saw and saying it was better than Vista only to realise that it was Vista they were using. That commercial obviously only showed the people that were too stupid to realize. I bet the majority of people doing the test were saying that it was the exact same as Vista's shit. And those people just weren't shown on the commercial.
