FFXI - Promyvion

We will be organizing a Promyvion run very soon for Saekeion and Dejibo. We need to set up a date & time.

Saekeion will be coming as WHM/SMN or possibly BRD/WHM. Depends on if we still need a healer or not.

Dejibo will be able to attend as RDM/WHM or possibly DNC/.

Yuehunei will be coming as a tank job probably, but it's up to him.

Do you want to join in on this, Vachir? We will probably end up doing this at an OK time for you anyways, because Dejibo doesn't stay up late. If you would like to join, Please tell us what days are good for you, and what time.

I am able to do it any time that I know of, besides on Saturday or Sunday. I am typically free all day on the weekdays.

If Vachir comes, we will need to fill in slot 5 & 6. Perhaps Yue might invite Vyse and Kaena. If not, I will post a topic on the Walking Wounded message boards and see if I can recruit 2 people to fill out the party.

We will also have to do the anima farming still, though I think someone said they were no longer rare/ex so we may be able to farm enough for the party.

You can buy em on the AH too.

I can go PLD or WAR. Whatever. They basically share the same gear but I do NOT have Kampf anymore. It'll be easier for me to be PLD. Especially with Sentinel.

DNC will not be helpful in Promy, we'll need Dej as RDM. DNC will just give the bosses more fuel to eat me with. >.> That said if we can't get another healer, Sae will have to fill that role.

Promyvion is most easily done with a group of 4DDs and 2 healers but this isn't always a possibility. Our best groups always had a Ranger, at least one WAR/NIN, and I think we had both a WHM and BLM? I know I was BLM for Vach, Norfy and my first ones. Of course, that was when the damn things were harder than the Kam'lanaut fight.

The hardest part is getting to the top. If possible we need someone with Wide Scan (real wide scan, not BSTs crappy wide scan ) to help us along but it's not 100% necessary. I do not have the maps of that place, but they're not exactly helpful from what I remember...

I'm off Mondays and Fridays, but on BOTH days people around here assume that since I'm off, I'm free game to be a manservant, and between 4-8 on both days is likely not an option. If we're going to do this during the week, I cannot until after 9.

Of course though, you don't have to wait for me to do them, I obviously don't need em. If you can get a group going, do it. But Mondays are the best for me.

I'll be more than willing to help, however my schedule is a MAJOR pain these days and for the time being I cannot get out of things. My job keeps me from playing this during the day and weekend work stops me from doing anything as I'm not even at home for those any more...

So yeah. Basically my times are Monday - Thursday, 7PM - 12AM GMT. Oh and I should mention I do Sky on Tuesdays so that's probably out. >.<

If you guys can fit it in there then I can come... but honestly my schedule is just crap for the time being.

I can come as RNG for your widescan if you want to go during those times though.

I am happy to come, but you MUST shoot me an EMAIL message to tell me when. That way I can clear the decks, and make time in my day to do it. I dont care which you chose. I have NO prommies done. I have tried to go several times as RED and was told that RED was NOT a good job to take, and requested that I level up DNC. I am at 27 dnc, and dont care which job you need. I am quite sneaky, and can easily follow you in.

Please tell me what items I need before hand, and how to get them.

Abacia has the Kampf Head, Legs, and Feet, so that isn't an issue for you, Mr. Tank. I know the feet are the most important part, due to the large VIT bonus they have. Abacia and Sae have most of the tank items you will need for Promyvion.

Dej can serve has back up healer, and enfeebler. Vach can do RNG, good DD and the Wide Scan we will need. (Yes, BST widescan SUCKS!) Yue may find WAR to be better for this, but I'm not really sure. I'm fine with whatever you want to come as.

I will be WHM/SMN then, I unlocked SMN today and it won't be hard at all to get it to level 15. With the new EXP gained for EP and DC mobs, it's easy to grind to that level.

I dunno if we can make this work into Vachir's time frame or not. Perhaps early afternoon on Monday, if that isn't too early for Caller... assuming I read your times available correctly. I gotta find my GMT to EST time convertor too so I can figure out the times Vachir listed in EST.

After we get the time down I'll post a message on Walking Wounded's message boards, I hope some of them will fill in the last two party slots.

Add 5hrs and you have Vach's time I believe. I had to know for our static back in the day.

Early Monday is OK if I don't stay up late Sunday. >.> And I'll be WAR/SCH before I go WAR/MNK... <.<;;

We can bring as many people as want to go actually...but we have to remember only 6 can enter the battlefield. So if people who volunteer to go on that LS site NEED Promyvion completed, they need precedence. If they're going just to help, keep them out of the battlefield unless it's a job we need.

From that setup you gave, we need two DDs, one of which should really have Provoke. Nukers are useless, so you and Dej will be the healers. I would prefer at least one more WAR/NIN. The 6th is whatever it wants to be. We went with Freyr as a THF in

2 WAR/NIN
1 RNG/NIN (vach)
1 BLM/WHM (me)
1 WHM/something (norfy)
1 THF/NIN

And won each time without losing. Freyr was even asleep for half the Holla fight and we still won. So...we have some leeway.

Seem to have some people who are interested in coming to Promy. Hopefully we can get at least a full party.

We SHOULD be able to buy all the animas we need on the AH, I looked at Hysteroanima and saw there was almost 20 up for sale.

I bought ONE of each brand you mentioned. You can have/use them at your will, or instruct me how/when to use them. It was about 8k for psych, 8k for hsyter, and 3k for Terro.

HAve Dejibo dressed in red, and ready to go. I may go out and try to get a level or two on her white since its so under leveled as a sub, or can use DNC sub if you want. Please tell me which.

I havent played much lately. have been having headaches, but thats my life. I have cleared the decks for Mon at 2est. its the hubbies B/d but we are planning an early lunch out, and will be home in time. I think since we are doing, or trying to do all 4 it should take about 4 to 5 hours. is that right?

Its good you don't have to worry about using old gear now. That was always a pain. And in some cases, a waste of gilz.

Anyway, one of each anima is what we should go for, because I don't trust our "helpers" to get them.

It'll take as long as it takes these people to get around. And if we have a WHM with teleport it will be significantly faster. That LS is chock FULL of WHMs, but I don't want them all to go as WHM. We need to organize jobs before the weekend so those people have time to get ready. It usually takes about 4 hours to do all three if we can't get around easily, climbing the Promyvions rarely takes more than an hour if done correctly. But if more than 6 people who need the Promies done go, we'll probably need to climb them twice or more because once you finish the fight you're chucked outside after story scenes.

We need, for the BCNM, at least two people with provoke, at least two people who can be healers, and the other two should be DDs.

Eventually we'll be going for the Aqueducts next, so let's work towards 40 after that. We're leveling BST so damn fast. >.>

I BOUGHT one of each brand, and put them IN Saekeions delivery box. you guys can use them as you see fit. If you want to chuck some gil my way to help pay for them...I wont complain, but wont chase you for it either. 19k is what I paid for all three.

Remember, I am visually challenged, so I will probably stick ontop of someone. I can fight, and enfeeble, and buff, but will be stuck on someone else.

Do you want my sub as White, or DNC? My white is under leveled. My DNC is up to speed. your pick.

WHM is fine, since the fight is capped at level 30. You will be stuck at level RDM30/WHM15 inside Promyvion.

I suggest you bring Echo Drops, just in case we get silenced.

Do as you usually do, just follow me. I will hang on the back lines where you need to be anyways.

I don't suggest melee combat for you. There are a lot of AoE moves that the mages need to steer clear of. Just follow me, and enfeeble & cure.

Time estimated to complete all 3 is 4-5 hours.

Grinding SMN today so I will be ready myself. >.<

excellent. I am going as Red/White with echo drops. Will hang back with Sae, and enfeeble, and back up heal. Thanks for inviting me to go along. I probably would have not done this for a very long time had someone not invited me to go.
