Xbox 360 Failure Rate is 54.2 Percent, Game Informer FindsOK, so the data is still inflated, and not exactly scientific, but still makes you stop and wonder. Then again, I went through 3-4 PS2s before I got the ones I have today, which neither have broken. Needless to say, if I buy an Xbox 360, I will be getting a warranty! Also, need to slap myself for this topic title.

That sounds about accurate. I have not red ringed myself but I know two people who have. I read somewhere that Microsoft didn't put a lot of effort into the final stages of the console so they could meet a certain release date to get an upper hand on Sony and Nintendo. The syste has been out for a few years now you'de think they would have fixed it by now. Unless they already have and thats why I havn't red ringed yet. I dunno.

We are on our third X-box... And we hardly ever use the damn thing.

Honestly I'm just waiting for the day for ours to brick. It has frozen a couple times but not ringed. Though I think we have the warranty, we knew about this problem before Mark bought one.
