Like Megaman, Sonic the Hedgehog is coming back in an oldschool sequel.
Looks cool. Back to basics. The 3D Sonics sucked. Except for the first one for DC.

Yay! But...are they doing this because they've caught on we hate what they've done to Sonic...or because they saw how phenomenally well SMB and Mega Man did?

In my opinion its both. Sonic is a dying creature and he needed some mouth to mouth pretty bad. And with the popularity of the return of oldschool SMB, Mega Man and Bionic Commando, this is what Sega needs to resuscitate the little, blue, speed demon.
One thing that kinda has me confused about the trailer is the episode 1 caption below the Sonic 4 logo. I wonder what that means.

I think I'll give it a try anyway. I sucked at Sonic 1&2 but I still enjoyed it. Its simplicity made it beautiful..and they kept screwing that up over the years. I liked Sonic Adventure well enough but there's just no comparison to the simple platforming origins.

Its going to be episodic.
Also, its not the original sonic team. THey gave it to some new guys. Could be really good, or really bad.
