DQ? You mean SE makes Dairy Queen fo' rizzle? /lame I never really played the SaGa series. I played a bit of the first one for PS1 but didn't really get into it. Didn't give the series another look after that. Having lots of side quests is appealing to me though. For me, I picked up the latest Prince of Persia. I was hoping to play the Sands trilogy before this game came out but I'm missing my Xbox 1 power cord and the 360 is backwards compatable for only the first game. So to hell with that. This new one is fun. Its easier then the previous ones and thats its bigest fault. The game always seems to have text displayerd telling you where to go and how to get there. Doesn't matter how obvious a path may seem the game needs to insult the player by telling them to go a certain way. Yes, I can see the wall that I can run acorss, yes I can see a ledge on the other side, YES I know I can use that to get to where I need to go. NO I don't need you to tell me that. The game is definatly fun and the acrobatics are a blast to pull off. The combat has been dumbed down since the last games to the point where you fight a single enemy once every five minutes. And the battles are always two on one. But that's not two enemies versus you. Thats you and your partner chic versus the enemy. So for a change the player outnumbers the AI for once. But it makes no differance really cause the only thing you can control on your partner chic is when she attack with the Y button. Anyways, good game. Not as good as anything in the Sands trilogy but its a worthy succesor.

SaGa Frontier 1 is a HARD game, and it's not for sissies. I only managed to beat it after I got a guide... but then I also fell in LOVE with it. One of my favorite video games. There's side quests out the ass for all playable characters, but you have to know when to do what. Caller is right, the level scaling is horrible, you'll be kicking ass one second, and in the middle of the same dungeon, you'll find that you're on the receiving end of the ass kicking a few moments later. Monsters level up along side of you, so battles will always be challenging until you make the Monster level cap out. And even still, there are hidden bosses that will rip you limb from limb, and you can hit one of them completely without warning, like I did. Still love the game though.

AHHH! I just realised! I have a brand new computer which means I can FINALLY play Elder Scrolls 4. I let my cousin borrow it two years ago when he was in town for Christmas. This Christmas he is coming again so I need to bug him to bring it back. I let him have it cause my old computer couldn't run it worth a shit. But I know I can do it now Speaking of which, I need to find some good PC games to play on this beast. Diablo 3 is in the works and I can't wait for that. But I don't know what else is out there for PC. It seems like most PC games are on console anyways so it kinda defeats the purpose. I personaly think PC would be a great platform to make RPGs on.

Oblivion is on the PS3 as well just FYI.
Probably get the expansion too. I started the expansion up a while ago, still plugging through it. it is a lot of fun. Way more fun than the original game I think.

Its for 360 as well but I'm sure it looks better on PS3. But even there I think the PC version will look better than the PS3 version. Either way, I got a new computer and its a shiny new toy. I'd rather play it on PC cause of that

I recently acquired some Touhou games on my computer. These games are pretty much vertical scrolling shooters. You die in one hit, and the bosses never seem to die. Ah the good ol' days...
Anyway, the games are far from easy. You get 5 lives and 3 continues. There are only 6 stages (and a hidden one), but that's enough to make you go crazy. The enemy's fire usually takes up the whole screen, and you are dipping and dashing through any crevice you can find. All the while you are shooting at the bosses ridiculous health bars. Despite the "Designed to fail" gameplay, it's still addicting. It took over my entire weekend without me knowing it. A must have for people who like shooters.
I also got Castlevania: Order Of Ecclesia. Just another SoTN style game masked by different areas to explore rather than just one castle. However, it does offer a great challenge and fair tunes, so I like this game better than the other DS titles. Not like the other two were bad, mind you.

Never heard of that before. Is that what you are reffering to?
I enjoy games like Gradius and R-Type but this looks extreme. Almost orgasmic. I'll have to check that out sometime.

Yep, that's the game alright. Though that's the extreme I was talking about. The last stages are immensely harder than the ones prior to it. In the one game, I can get to stage 4 without dying... then proceed to get tentacle raped. www.doujinstyle.com/On the left side, click Touhou, then games, then download the scarlet devil game (The first one at the top I believe). Out of the ones I've played, that one seems to be the easiest. Perfect cherry blossom is a lesson in futility >_>

I am LOVING the harvest moon tree of tranquility! wootga! I love my silly baby games like animal crossing, or harvest moon. Its so great to mindlessly sit back, and just play a baby game.
I have a barn, and a chicken coop. A nice garden, and have been mining. I made it to the lower level of the mine, and got my first power berry. I really need to get more berries. As a noob, your stamina SUCKS! you are out of energy by the time you feed the chickens, and water the crops. I have also upgraded my house to level 2. I need to upgrade some tools next, or maybe get a cow, or a pony. there is no pony gifted to start with for this one.
I will be heading to GameFAQs or someplace to look up how to get some of the other berries. I did upgrade my fishing rod to copper so that I can haul in some money making fish.
anyone else admit they play baby games?

Still plugging away at TLR and KH Re:CoM. TLR got a little better now that the story picked up again but dear sweet jesus the difficulty took a turn for the worse. Now, the quest mobs are too weak to level me, but the story mobs are WHOAMG HARD. You can overcome it by knowing your unions' stats and picking the right formations and such (and mages...lots and lots of mages...mages are actually fantastic in this game) but it's still you usually walking a line between a barely there victory or sweet merciful death.
CoM is getting easier now that I whored the hell outta attack cards. >.> It's clear I'm not using the map cards like they wanted me to because I maxed them out and the reviews I read say they're supposed to be hard to come by. Yeah. I never run out. K. Just finished 100 Acre Wood and now I have Neverland and Hollow Bastion left to go...though I think Vexen is coming up and if Larxene was hard I can only imagine what's laying in wait for me.

I am glad I played Chain of Memories before I played Kingdom Hearts 2. While it adds nothing to the overall storyline it did have one, little, tiny thing refferanced to in KH2 which I thought was a fun thing to add. I would buy the PS2 version....but that card system annoyed the hell out of me the first time I played on a GBA emulator. I don't think I could endure that battle system a second time. But then again, I've never been a big fan of card based RPGs.
I wouldn't mind playing KH 1 and 2 again. This time on Hard/Proud mode. I have NO idea when I'll do that though.

I can only imagine things would be rather confusing in KH2's opening if you had no played Chain of Memories. I mean, how else would Sora end up in the Egg thing?
I hated that game though. The card system was terrible and it seemed like all the enemies did was knock you down or stun you. Could never get cards off to save my life. Hated it...

Exactly! You see Sora and the gang in one location at the end of KH1 then see them somewhere completly differant in the start of KH2. I'd be pretty WTFified if I had not played CoM beforehand. WIth my cousin over we got to playing Motor Storm a lot for the PS3. This game came with the PS3 but I have not played it till now. I'm not a huge fan of racing games but this was pretty fun. Its cool. If you crash your vehicle, which you will o plenty of, the game atleast respawns you as close to the action as it can. Its still pretty hard but atleast you still have a chance for a comeback. I can't count how many times my cousin or I would be in last place cause of poor starts only to catch up and get 1st place towards the end. It made for some epic driving I'm probably going to give up on Persona 3. The Digitial Devil Saga series was amazing and I reccomend anyone who likes RPGs play those. But Persona 3 gets super repetetive. You are pretty much stuck doing the same thing. Go to school, do some after school activities to boost your Persona stats and then take your team through the tower till they get tired. And its the exact same tower throughout the entire game. Its not a bad game but it got boring 12 hours in. And it advertises that its a 100 hour game. 100 hour games would be great but you need to have some variety to make it worth that time. Persona 3 is lacking in that area. So, I will be calling it quits on this game.

My friends love Persona 3. They also love the sequel that just came out. I do agree that it's repetitive, but in Japan, they eat that kind of stuff up. Games where you play a silent, but instantly lovable, protagonist going around doing his daily life is probably one of Japan's top sellers. They do that a lot in the anime over there too. I hate it for the turn based combat. I can only play it in certain games anymore without getting bored.
Caller got me FF4 DS. Yep, the same game over again, but I never tire of it. I love how they improved some of the bosses that just plain sucked to fight before. The earth fiend was ridiculous (though I didn't see if raise still killed him...), and the water fiend was just plain obnoxious. Still gives me a challenge 10 or so years after I beat it the first time.... Kain's voice actor is screwy.

Kain: BEHOLD MY SUPER UBER MANLY VOICE AND DESPAIR!!
I wasn't very WTF'd in KH2 because I knew "of" CoM, but never played it. Besides they did [poorly] describe what happened to him anyway in the intro. I'm still chugging away at Re:CoM...and christ Vexen was hard...TWICE. -.-
Now I'm at another Riku fight and he wiped me out in about 5 seconds. I think I'm gonna have to stack my deck with nothing but 0 cards and forget comboing and just whack my way to victory. Yeah, that'll be fun. I hate this game's battle system. Once I beat it, that'll be the last time I play it. Sucks to say that but there's little point in playing a game that's not fun to play.
