Thought I would kick off a what are you playing.
I just pulled out FFVII. I have been lost in that game in the past, and quickly lost interest again. dangit.
I did play FFXII last night and played while I had no internet access to get onto FFXI.
I am still doing the Wii stuff. Man o man that is a fun system.

Final Fantasy II on my NEs emulator. Was swallowed by Leviathan, hooked up with Richard the Dragoon, escaped via a boat and levelled up Richards crappy HP to 1000. I'm getting closer to the end with each play. ;D

I am still playing Wii fit. this thing ROCKS! I have hula hoops, and boxing, and bowling, and yoga, and ice burg balancing. I cant believe how much I am enjoying this silly game.
I put FFVII away. I just wasnt into it. I did get back into FFXII and finished some errands I had left undone. I accidentally beat the boss last time I played. I am only level 60 and went onto the airship thinking it was a quest or sumfin, and met the boss. Kicked him in the bahookey. So, I had alot of errands left undone.
FFXI is still the flavor of the month for me. Yhamuna is almost 68 red. Dancer is getting some attention, and she finished the many outstaning quests she had on her roster. She didnt need the fame, but it was fun to do. She has become a friend to everyone. PLing Cha, and runs out to raise the dead. Everyone loves her black chocobo. She is getting alot of beseiged attention. Dejibo is still 21 red, but fame 5, and almost rank 5. Need Castle O run to be done, and I must break down and do a Quifim party to at least hit 25. Need kazam airship pass as well. She has 3 gobbie bags done and is on the last mog house upgrade, and got Mog lockers accessed. All the mules have gotten some attention. Kyu is a rocking mule, and Abacia has gotten her mog locker too. VERY happy with them.

I beat FF2 last night. The good thing about NES emulators are save states. I'd use it a lot and if I ever got into an encounter I didn't like I'd load state and try again till it was something a bit more reasonable. Cause seriously, in the final dungeon there are these cats that hit you for a measly 50 damage. But there is also a chance for that hit to be instant death. I can take on anywhere from 1 to 3 of those cats and kill em before they get a chance to hit. But if was was 4 or 5 I knew I'd be screwd so thath's when I'd load state. I know its cheating b ut that dungeon is unreasonable. I will be starting Final Fantasy III on a NES emulator here soon. I already know who my characters will be.... Warrior - Lennon Red Mage - Hrrson White Mage - Starr Black Mage - Mcrtny The sum of 500 cookies goes to DF by default for knowing the trivia behind those names

Actually I might just use first names again like I did with FF1. The good thing about FF3 is that they allow for more letters than FF1 so I can probably use first names without dropping letters. As opposed to trying to spell George with only 4 letters! The last names just look a bit weird without vowels.

So tomorrow am getting a 360 after work. I will pick up Halo 3 with it. However when I plug the fucker in halo 3 won't get any play time cause the first thing I want to do is download Street Fighter 2. Hell yeah, bitch!
And apparantly the game 1942 is being remade for live arcade as well so I wanna get that too.

I started playing Metroid Prime 3 again and this time on Veteran mode, since "Normal" was "You-gotta-jump-into-burning-hot-lava-and-stay-there-to-die" mode. And I've died quite a bit <.< You can't whore out Hyper Mode in this difficulty because mobs themselves go into hyper mode a LOT more often and if they shoot too much phazon at you, well, you lose! That was my first Corrupted Game Over. >_> Still it's kinda nice to actually get a Game Over. As weird as that sounds. I just hate super easy games....
Gotten to the Pirate Homeworld and I don't remember where I'm supposed to go now to get IN, so I'm just going back and exploring the past planets to see what goodies I can find. Finding some Energy Cells I couldn't last time though so there's that. I wanna beat the game finally. I got pissed off and quit because of the Energy Cell scavenger hunt last time but this time I wanna see it through to the end.

I got my 360. its black and freakin sexy as hell. Black consoles are hotter than white conoles. Too bad the Wii wasn't black. In any case, there is a footbal game on tonight that I did not know about so I chose to hold off on Street Fighter 2 and just play some Halo. Decent game so far. Only on the first level and so far it feels exactly the same as Halo 2. No surprise there. But its a pretty game. The graphics are gorgeous. When i bought this I was almost tempted to save 100 bucks and just get the white one. The non elite bundle, whatever its called. The box has a list of what comes with it. Both came with a wireless controller and pretty much exactly the same shit. What sold me on the elite bundle though was the HDMI cable. You get that plus a bigger hardrive for 100 bucks more. WHich is a freaking sweet deal since HDMI cables are pretty much that exact same price. So i got my HDMI and a bigger hardrive for the price of just a cable. Nice deal I'd say. I really liked how when i first fired the system up how it had sort of an instructional video telling you what the tabs are used for and how the 360 interface works. It was a comical video but also informative. Not that I couldn't have figured that stuff out for myself. I love the 360 controller. It feels very nice. much better than the original Xbox controller. That was horrid. My only problem is that the D-Pad feels a bit stiff. And that's not gonna be good when I play Street Figher.

Played Final Fantasy Tactics A2 today.
Got a secret character! She's a Paladin & has Duel-wield. Pretty cool character!
I also now have two espers (giant two-screen summons), 163 quests complete, and 22 clan members!
This is such a fun game.
Also: I'm going to play Animal Crossing: Wild World sometime tonight.
DF2506 After this week, one more week till Final Fantasy 4 DS comes out! Can't wait! "

I beat Halo 3 just now. Quite a short game. I think its actually shorter than Halo 2 which is very surprising. And what is it with Halo games and crappy endings? That ending made no sense whatsoever. It really wasn't clear what was happening. In any case, a decent game. I'm still not a big fan of Halo's trial and error gameplay. Die a billion times at certain parts till you get it right. I mean I've played several games that have been hard as hell but didn't make you die several times until you've burned enemy locations and fight patterns into your memory. They've been doing that since Halo 1 and frankly it gets annoying.
I'm playing the game again on Heroic mode this time. To collect skulls for achievment points and to beat the game for another Achievment point. I'm an achievment whore.
Speaking of which, I'm really happy with the 360's achievment point system thingy. I like how all games, even LIVE arcade ones have them and reward you for going the extra mile for something. I really like these points. They are just so much fun to unlock. I saw Castlevania SotN on the LIVE Market Place. Apparantly the game is in HD res too so it will look great. I will download that soon. Plus you can download the TMNT arcade game from 89! Classic! If I woulda had this when i was a kid I would have been so happy. Loved that game back in the day. Plus it has achievment points to boot so even better.
So far I am definatly happy with my purchase. I've only had it three days and I already like it better than the PS3. The interface and online is just so much better. And achievments are definaly awesome. It really gives games a big replay value.
So for those that have a 360, what is your Xbox live gamertag? I am WalrusNorfair if you want to add me to your friendlist.

Played Tactics A2 yesterday. Started playing the final battle, but I couldn't beat it. I beat the first part, but then the second part was just...UGH. So, of course, I have to beat the first part AGAIN, cause its Square's traditional "multiple battles in a row at the end with no saves in between." thing. You'd think I'd be use to that by now, but I'm not. lol. Only played Animal Crossing: Wild World today so far. After today, one week till Final Fantasy 4 DS comes out! DF2506 " And my birthday! "

Seriously they do that in almost every game they release. There's no such thing as a final boss, it's final Boss es. >.> /lame I'm almost back to where I quit Prime 3 originally but this time I've found more energy cells and energy tanks and missiles along the way, so I may actually be willing to beat the game this time. Last time I couldn't find one of the cells and it just plain pissed me off cuz I couldn't go any further, and at the time there weren't any decent walkthroughs. That's not true this time so I should be able to get through.

As much as I like the Final Fantasy games, thats one of the things I've never cared for. Why can't we just have one really hard-to-beat final boss?? lol. Anyway, haven't played much of anything today. A little bit of Crossing, but not much else. Just not in the gaming mood today. Maybe tomorrow (kind of hoping there will be some good DS demos tomorrow too. lol) DF2506
