Yes yes 1000 times yes at 6:10.
I always have a CV marathon during October...but I haven't done it this year and I don't think I'm going to. Since I have the new Kingdom Hearts it's been eating all my free time. And raping the hell out of my wrists in the process. I don't know why but I've never been able to hold any handheld past the original gameboy without getting really bad wrist pain and my fingers go numb. <_<
It's a good game, but I'm not overly fond of mission games. It works, it does, but it tries to make it seem like it's non-linear when it's not. The optional missions are only there for extra loot and not a thing more, so it seems kind of contrived. A scant few of the optional missions have any dialog, and said dialog has no bearing on the plot, it's usually to do with the world you're in.
The panel system is actually a great idea at the first half because it limits you and prevents you from becoming overpowered and breezing your way through the game by forcing you to equip nearly every aspect of your character before a mission (you even have to equip your level ups). The problem is that you eventually get such a large panel board and such powerful panels that you become *just* as overpowered in this game as in the others, so it was a novel idea that would've worked, but they just let you become far too powerful that it defeats the purpose and ends up becoming nothing more than a stylized AP system from the previous games.
And revisiting the KH1 worlds AGAIN five or more times *each* is getting old. Yes it makes sense given the timeline but seriously...well at least Neverland was different. And there's really no point to going back to some of them sometimes. All that said I still like it a lot and it's a good one, but it could've used a bit more time in development.

Caller, I have Kingdom Hearts DS too.
I think they felt like they had to go the mission route so that the sections would be easy to pick up & play and then stop for awhile. Its that whole portable gaming attitude that claims that people don't want to play portables for an extended amount of time. I'm the opposite of that. lol. If I find a portable game that I really love, I'll play it just as long, if not longer, than I'd play a console game.
So, I kind of like the missions, but I do miss the more open-world feel of the other two games. It would be nice to explore the worlds a bit more.
My panel is not overpowered yet though; actually its a bit underpowered at the moment. I need to replay some of the missions & do some of the challenges. lol.
I do agree that revisiting the same worlds again is getting a bit old. I really like Kingdom Hearts DS A LOT, but I think they should have tried to do at least one or two or three new worlds for this game. And I have to say, the lack of a Winnie the Pooh world is just sad. That was one of my favorite worlds to visit. Also really liked the Steamboat Wily & Mulan levels from KH2.
Ya, I was happy to see that Neverland was different though.
I think given the DS hardware, they really pushed the game to the max (or almost to the max at least). I do think that they could have done some new levels though. That would probably be my only complaint about the game. Like you said, its a good game. Actually, I'd say its a very good game for the DS.
I wish they would be a Kingdom Hearts for the Wii. But its seems doubtful.
I'm VERY excited about the announcement of EPIC MICKEY for Wii though. The concept art for that game looks very interesting. Its supposed to be a Wii-exclusive game too! The next Game Informer is going to have more info on it. Really hoping that its as great or maybe even better than Kingdom Hearts!
Anyway, at the moment I'm playing: Animal Crossing City Folk, Wild World, Uncharted 2, and Kingdom Hearts DS.

I absolutely adore my PSP and DS. Oblivion still. Ed has stole my heart.

I started FF9 now. I never really liked this game before but now looking at it I can see its charm. It definatly is a more light hearted FF and has some fun quirkyness to it. Its kinda nice to have a more simplified stat/ability system after using the more complex junction system in 8. But at the same time I can't help but want something with a little more depth to it.
I like Vivi

I liked FF9 too... shame I sold it. My last disc was glitched too, I couldn't watch all the ending. Vivi was cute, and I liked him, but I didn't adore him like so many FF Fans. I liked all the chars except Quina and Admarant... however you spell it. I want to play it again, but I can't. I started a new game in Oblivion, with my intelligent redesign. Edwinn's new class is Magic Specialization, but his main skills are Melee & Stealth. All skills started at 25, so I'll have a lot more levels to attain. I chose Armorer, Blade, Block, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, Mercantile and Sneak. Might seem silly having two armor classes as major skills, but I get a lot of nice light armor pieces early in the game, and I'd like to use them without them getting destroyed after one fight. I mostly concern myself with heavy armor for the Endurance bonuses, but I might switch to Light in later levels, I dunno. My goal is to get his Endurance to 100 as soon as possible so he can maximize his Health. Being really anal about this, but... I enjoy what I do.

The reason he is so popular is because right off the bat there is mystery surrounding him. He has no idea who or what he is and a big part of the game's story is him discovering himself. Where as Zidane there really is not a alot of story surrounding him. Atleast not until towards the end. And even then when he learns about his past he can't deal with it like Vivi did which shows that even though Vivi is younger he is way more mature than Zidane. I like all the characters in this game. Although Amarant doesn't seem like a crucial part of the story as far as I remember. Maybe he is but I don't think so. Neither is Quina really. But I like Quina cause I like Blue Magic. EDIT>> I found an NPC named Locke. I never noticed him before.

♥ Vivi. Vivi is the MAN.
The story in KH is getting good. It's finally starting to pull together and with my knowledge of CoM and KH2 I'm pretty sure I already know where it's going, but still, it has me hooked.

Vivi is prob my favorite FF9 character. I think Norfair is dead-on about the reasons that he's so popular.
Count me among the FF9 fans, I really enjoyed it. It was nice return to a more light-hearted fantasy based FF after the two very dark sci-fi FF games (FF7 & FF8). Hmm. I still have FF9. I'll have to play it again someday.
Anyway, I'm playing:
Animal Crossing: City Folk: Not much going on at the moment.
Animal Crossing: Wild World: Just got all of the Mushroom series furniture from the Acorn festival.
Kingdom Hearts DS: Whew. I really need to build up Roxas. He's not strong enough for these new missions. lol. You know, this game really makes me want to play Kingdom Hearts 2 again. Love that game. Hmmm. Might have to track down a used copy soon. lol. (though, I really wish they'd just bring out Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Re-chain, and Kingdom Hearts 2 out on one blu-ray for the PS3).
Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo: Love this game! I think the multiplayer is better than Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3. Just awesome. Can't wait to play the Single player & the full multiplayer on Tuesday!

Beat 358/2 tonight and I'm pretty pleased with the ending. If you've played the other games you know how it ends obviously, but leave it to Square Enix to put a ridiculous long-winded and utterly baffling final boss battle before it. It was painfully obvious this game was ended abruptly. The last few missions seemed tacked on and served only to setup the comical final boss.
...which naturally followed SE standard and was pitifully easier than even some of the story missions.
Oh well, it was a fantastic game and filled a ton of plot holes, even plot holes with Riku and Mickey! But of course they left room for more. They are very obviously setting up their next game Birth By Sleep and as a true fanboy I can't wait for it.
Incidentally, the credits said "Dedicated to the memory of Wayne Allwine." If you don't know who that is, he's the voice of Mickey Mouse. Unsurprisingly they already filled the role with a new guy (Bret Iwan). I didn't even know he passsed but apparently it happened in May. But then again I haven't seen much news.
Also this game just made me feel even worse for Roxas. I like the guy a lot (oh my) and his life really sucked. <_< Now I gotta find something else to suck up my time. Maybe I will get to do that CV marathon after all.

I got Uncharted 2 today and after my college classes today, thats all I played. lol. Didn't play the multiplayer any tonight. Got really into the single player. Just a great, great, great, GREAT game. Wow. The single player is just as awesome (if not more awesome) than the multiplayer. Amazing game. Very much like controlling a movie! If I can get myself away from the single player, I will play the multiplayer some! DF2506

By the way 358 players, pay very close attention to the near end during the mission with Axel, Xion and Xigbar. There's a not-so-obvious-yet-slapping-you-right-in-the-face easter egg about Birth By Sleep that I *completely* missed that doesn't make full sense until you beat the game and unlock the "secret" reports. If you've been watching BBS closely you'll catch it immediately but I won't spoil it.

I like how you say this new KH filled some plot holes but left room for more. I love KH and the story is good but, damn, it is pretty convoluted. I can't wait to pick up that DS game. I get payed this Friday and I don't owe mom for rent so maybe I will buy it. Ok, guys. I want to start a poll here. I want everyone involved. Poll: Which male Final Fantasy character looks more like a woman A) Vaan B) Kuja Vote now!

I have to say Kuja. I seriously did not realize for like half the game that he was a dude. I thought it was a woman. No joke.
I got nothing going on. Been playing WoW every night. I got Dissidia but I am not very far into it yet. It seems very random, and like there is no real progression. I did CLouds level first because it was marked as one star. Then I tried to do the Warrior of light, but damn that sephiroth fight is hard. Gotta level up a bit I guess.

I vote Kuja as well. I forgot how femenine he looked until I started playing FF9 again. Creeeepy.
I thought Cecil's campaign was the easiest. I guess I didn't notice Cloud's. Cecil is marked as two stars.
Speaking of Dissidia and Cecil, once again they pronounce his name wrong. Ceh-cul. Ick! NO!. Its' See-sil! I am right and Square is wrong. Suck it, Square! ;D
