I got my new puter home, and it was bizaare! it was slow, and clunky and things would load and then not load, it was strange! I took it back to the store, it turns out I got someone's returned computer! They ordered me a new one, and personally checked it all out before turning it over to me. Its home and set up now. shit that was awful! there was a corupted copy of win 7 on it, and tons of virus'
I have been playing FFXI on PS3 and loving it! I cant believe how great wireless controllers are. too bad i keep forgetting to plug one in while I am playing with another, so Ihave one charged at all times.
not much going on here.

Finished Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time yesterday! Awesome game. Just really great. I started a new game on the Challenge Mode too. I think I will continue to play R&C some, but I want to play more of the Uncharted multiplayer, plus I need to get back to Fallout 3 also. Oh and I'm still playing City Folk too. Halloween was a lot of fun in that game yesterday. We actually had some people over in the game for Halloween. That was really fun. First time we had ever done that! Hmm. I also need to think about getting back to Kingdom Hearts DS too. lol. DF2506

Oh boy, I got $100 in tips at work today. Most I've ever gotten since I started working at this place 5 years ago. So I am going to take in my PS3 copy of Grand Theft Auto 4 and trade that in for a discount for Fallout 3: GotY Edition. I am excited. I do wish there was a demo of this game out though. I just want to make sure that I will like this game. I am sure I will but you never know. Speaking of GTA4 and have been playing a bit here and there on 360. Not even really playing it just doing some side missions like stealing cars and driving them from point A to point B, and delivering packages here and there. Fun game. Someday I want to ge the expansions for this game.

Monies!
Played a little Castlevania Ecclesia recently but when I beat a boss only to be treated to a Game Over screen because I didn't save all the villagers I immediately quit. What is it with games lately and forcing scavenger hunts on you? I mean that's the precise reason I quit all three Metroid Prime games before coming back months later to finish them. Really pissed me off! The game isn't really even all that great and that just really....ugh. It's "difficulty" is also pissing me off because the stages themselves are hard simply because this may be the only CV game where you don't get a period of invincibility after taking a hit so if you get boxed into a corner, wow, you lose. The only hard parts are the bosses and not because they're clever, but because they hit like freighter trucks going 200 mph and have just as much HP.
Went back to play a little of the original Kingdom Hearts too and wow it only makes you respect the sequel more. It's still a fun and very well made game but seriously, KH2 is by far the superior game. <.< I still haven't beaten the Chains of Memories Riku story but I hated that battle system sooooo much it's hard to convince myself to go back, even if Riku's story is insultingly easy.

Speaking of Castlevania I recently downloaded this one CV game for my PS3. Chronicles I think its called? Anyways, apparantly it was never relased outside Japan until it was released on the PSN store. So I bought that for cheap. I really like it. The first level is a remake of the first level of the original CV. The final boss is a tad differant but overall it was a nice remake. The rest of it, however, is all new. The game is your typical, balls to wall, hard, old-school Castlevania. Its fun.
I bought Fallout 3 so I am ready to pop this fucker into my 360. We'll see how it goes.
When I was at EB there was a huge lineup of people waiting to buy Dragon Age: Origins. I didn't know the game was that popular. I might pick that up eventually too. It looks kinda interesting but, at the same time, I'm not sure if I'll like it. Like, the gameplay looks like pretty clever and intuitive RPG stuff but the media that was released for it always irked me. The trailers and shit would be super bloody (which doesn't bother me the least) but they would be played to heavy metal music which pissed me off. Its like the developers are trying to attract the more Halo/Madden/average Joe gamer than fans of RPGs with those videos. Which makes me wonder who the game is really developed for.

Whether or not it is the same as the PSN store version I'm not sure. Although, I'm pretty sure the version I have is available for download. In any case, it's a remake of the MSX version (crazy JP computer, apparently), which was a remake of the original NES Castlevania. Chronicles contained two versions of the game; the original exactly the same as MSX version and then a remake with slightly improved graphics, game play, remixed music and cheap ass CGI. Still, it's a very good game. And bitching hard. I also really liked Ecclesia. I'm not sure what it is about this particular CV, but I do like it. It's not that hard on subsequent play throughs but I must admit I did experience some of the issues Caller is having.

I rented Dragon Age Origins yesterday for the Playstation 3.
Its a game from Bioware.
The gameplay is similar to Jade Empire/KOTOR. A bit of Diablo or Norath too. Story/cutscene wise it reminds me of Lord of the Rings a bit (expect Dragon Age has a lot more blood in it than LOTR did).
I like the game. Its nice to be playing a fantasy rpg again. And I like Bioware's games because of the many options they give you. Dialogue choices, tons of items, cool party members (this one even has a Dog for a party member. Looks like you might be able to level him up too. You can control him!), and a big world to explore!
Fun game. Can't wait to play more of it.

Dragon Age: Origins is really good!
I'm at a part right now with Werewolves. Very cool. I really like this games story. Also, all of the characters are really good (the dog is still my favorite, but Morgian is cool too), the combat is fun, and I like all the rpg elements (leveling up, collecting items, etc).
Very addictive game!

Dragon Age is interesting me now that I understand it better. I will pick it up sometime. When I do it will definatly be for PC. It does not look like a console game at all. The interface looks way better on PC so that will be the platform I play it on. Its nice to see a fantasy based game again. The game market is so over saturated with shooters and gun games. I am pleased to see an old school setting.
But since I just got Fallout 3 I won't be getting Dragon Age anytime soon. Or, if I do, I won't play it right away. And Fallout 3 is looking pretty massive. Especially with the expansions the GotY Edition comes with. So far I am really liking it. Its actually way less FPS than I thought. It has the feel of FPS but if you play it like one you won't make it very far. I like pausing the action to figure things out and stuff. I am very happy I bought this game. You can totally tell it was made by the same guys that did Oblivion. But I think I like this game more than Oblivion. The story was way more interesting right off the bat and the flow of the game is better.
Gonna beat FF9 tonight. I just need to grind my party to 65 then its off to kill Kuja and the usual "nothing to do with the story line but is there just to stir things up" final boss. Then I'll start FF10 on Monday and be between that and Fallout 3.

Dragon Age is quite good on the Playstation 3, imo. Of course, I hear the PC verison is better, but I'm not a PC gamer, so its the playstation verison all the way for me! lol. As for Fallout 3, yep, it is very massive game. Even without the new downloadable stuff, its massive. But the new stuff makes it even bigger (and better imo). I especially like the Mothership Zeta quest. Thats awesome! Hmmm. After I take Dragon Age back to the video store, I need to get back to Fallout 3. Anyway, finished the Werewolf quest in Dragon Age. Then, went to a larger town, beat up a gang in a back alley, and fought some knights in the city too. Addictive game. This might be one to buy sooner or later! Also, still playing City Folk. Trying to collect all the mushroom furniture. DF2506

Fallout 3 is crazy! I'm not even doing main story line stuff right now. This one dude is asking me for 300 caps (currency) for info on my father so I cna progress the main story line but I havn't even bothered with that yet. Instead this one girl asks me to go check on her family in a differant town. I go there and they are dead but her brother is alive somewhere. Captured by a family of vampires so I have to go deal with them. But I didn't have to fight them. I used charm and speech skills to negotiate his release which is awesome. That quest line alone took me a good, solid two hours. I also went and beat FF9 tonight. Is it just me or is the final boss, Necron, the hardest final boss in the series? I've always had problems with this guy. The game as a whole is super easy but that final boss does not like me. I used my old party of Zidane, Eiko, Freya and Amarant. An awesome combonation capable of dealing 9999 damage at level 60 (if done right) with the best healer in the game keeping these bitches alive. Yet this boss still causes me grief. Ugh, atleast its over. Speaking of Necron... www.ffmerchandise.com/CreaturesNecron.JPGAmazing! ;D

Still playing Dragon Age a lot. I'm now in a very strange, but cool part of the game. Dragon Age just gets better and better imo. Also played some AC: City Folk today and visited someone's town. DF2506

I'd probably love the hell out of Fallout 3 as well, as what you're describing. Guess what? I finally got a 360! Whoo-hoo! I got Star Ocean 4, and Tomb Raider Underworld. Rogue got Halo 3, and Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.. I haven't spent much time playing any of my games yet though, but I will give Tomb Raider a spin later on. The first few minutes of the game shows that this game continues from the storyline of Tomb Raider Legend, which has me very excited. I was very annoyed because that game left you hanging... I loved Legend, and can't wait to completely immerse myself into Underworld. Oblivion is still my main interest, though. However, I've been stalled again in my goal of making a perfect character, with completely capped stats. I did my math wrong, as expected... the highest possible level attained seems to be 52. If I wish for my Luck to get capped out, I will have to start putting a point towards it at level 7 or lower. If not, it will never reach 100. So, I have to redo Edwinn yet again. *sigh* I will make him older in appearance this time. Even Rogue says he looks like a teen, so... I feel like a pervert. Cuz I think he's smokin' hot. Also tired of Caller teasing me because of it. "Next on Oblivion, teens in chainmail!" Also looking into becoming a vampire on Malir. I did several tests last night thanks to the Testing Hall, and discovered that Vampirism has 4 stages... Stage 1, is just being a Vampire. No one knows you are a vampire, and you get minor stat boosts, and an ability called Hunter's Sight, which rocks. Stage 2, stats increase further, and you gain the abilities Vampire's Seduction, and start taking damage while outside in the daytime. Stage 3, stats go up even further, sun damage increases, and you gain Reign of Terror. People still, are not aware that you're a vampire... even though it's obvious. Stage 4 is the biggie. Several stats go up by 20 points. Sun damage goes up big time, being outside in the day hurts like hell, and will kill you very, very fast. You gain one final ability, Embrace of Shadows, and the real kicker, all NPCs who aren't in the same faction as you will totally reject you. They panic when you attempt to speak to them. The good thing is that by feeding on a sleeping victim, you go back to stage 1, and can function normally. I'm going to try to make Malir a vampire. Dunmer get a fire resistance that will counter balance the Vampire's weakness to fire, and they just seem to pull the look off better. Vampires aren't sexy beasts in this game, they're quite ugly. To prove my point, this is Malir as a Stage 4 vampire. i140.photobucket.com/albums/r29/yhamuna/oblivion/Oblivion12.jpgSorry to rant so long. I feel Oblivion has completely taken place of MMORPGs for me. Gives me something to obsess over, which I needed.

Hey if I'm not the only one calling him a kid take the hint. I'm interested in Dragon Age so I'll see about picking it up. Been reading reviews and looks like PS3 is the route to go, but can you install games on PS3? I'd like to cut down on those loading times that all the reviews are complaining about.
