I dunno it just seems like even more evidence that Sega has *no idea* what to do with their hedgehog. You have games like Mario and Mega Man that are still successful today because they barely changed their formula. Then you have the foundering Sonic series because he goes from genre to genre, practically failing at each and every one of them. They should just go back to the speed. It sold. It sold well. And it was fun.
Honestly, I don't see why video game companies simply don't see this one plain and simple fact. If the game is fun, PEOPLE WILL BUY IT.

The Sonic Rpg is really fun. I like it.
You know what's even more fun though.....
The LittleBigPlanet BETA!
Yes, after a week of trying, I finally got in! I can't believe it! I was so shocked when I got the e-mail!
I did have one issue with it so far though. The issue was with my wireless dvd remote for the PS3. The Beta was reading that controller as a second/third player and so it messed up our game until we figured that out. We just took the batteries out of the controller and there you go! Second/third player gone!
I played the Beta with my dad. We played co-op on the first three levels and had a blast! The game is so much fun! I can't wait to try the creator tomorrow!
LittleBigPlanet is going to be so much fun! The final game is going to be Amazing!

Yeah Sonic has been sucking quite a bit latly. The new one for next gen consoles was not recieved very well. It was a great line of games back in the day, and it started to show some life on the GBA, but Sonic is losing his appeal pretty fast.
Hahaha, get it? Sonic losing it.....FAST! Hahaha....eh..... -_-
Played SH5 a bit last night but got tired pretty fast and went to bed early (no sleep the night before)
I like it. More so than SH4. You can tell it has been Americanized through the new developer cause it has some western style gameplay mechanics. Which is not a bad thing at all considering the SH series was never known for its outstanding gameplay. It hasn't really scared me yet and I don't know if that has anything to do with the development of the game itself or just the fact that I've been playing Silent Hill long enough to not be scared by it anymore (which I hope is not the case).
And the graphics, well they are not great at all. Facial expression look bad and character movement looks stilted. I know graphics don't make the game but when you've played these games on the PS2 with BETTER graphics you can't help but notice. I think the developers were hoping that 1080p high def would cover up their poor design but it doesn't.
Oh well. I still am enjoying the game.

Well, imo, Sonic Chronicles for the DS is fun. A very unique take on Sonic (and his universe). Its about time that something different was done with the character! Doubt I'll be playing it much this weekend or this coming week though. I'm addicted to the LittleBigPlanet beta! I played Create Mode today and it was very cool. I've also played a whole bunch of levels created by people online. There are some VERY creative people out there! Such an amazing game. DF2506

About time something differant was done with Sonic? I seem to remember a Sonic racing game, a fighting game, a Mario Party rip off. I'd say thats quite a bit of differant right there. But they all sucked.

Kikaro, I applied to the Playstation blog and got one. They had a contest on Thursday. Its over now. Lots of LittleBigPlanet beta contests this week. I'm not sure if there will be any this coming week or not, since the beta ends on Friday. But there might be. Keep an eye on the Playstation blog website, plus Ign, Gamespot, various other gaming websites. Oh and if I happen to get a second beta key, I'll give it to you. Now, I have to warn you: it was very unlikely that I even got that first beta key, so I doubt I'd get a second one. lol. But, if I did, I would give it to you! Norfair, ya, I suppose, but a lot of those games seemed similar in style to me. The Sonic RPG is just so very different from any of those other games. Well, ok, the story is similar to something you might have seen in one of those other games, but the turn-based battles, the conversations, leveling up, etc is very different. The Conversations & leveling up are very Bioware-ish. Heck, there's even a Codex in Sonic Chronicles...lol! Bioware did a really good job with Sonic Chronicles imo. After the LittleBigPlanet beta ends, I'll definitly get back to SC. Btw, played more LBP beta yesterday. The online for the beta was very messed up for most of the day. Couldn't even edit my own level! But, finally, they fixed the problem and right before I quit for the night, I got to tool around with the Create Mode and then I played two levels that other people made. One level I played was about Sackboy escaping from prison. It was pretty cool. The other was absolutely brillant! It was called World of Color. It used switches and colors in such a unique and creative way. The level was a lot of fun to play! Oh and in non-gaming news, got Iron Man for blu-ray yesterday! Played it on my PS3 and WOW. It looked great! Can't wait to play more LittleBigPlanet beta today! DF2506

Played more LittleBigPlanet beta today. Messed around with Create Mode, played some User-Created levels (neat Silent Hill level, Halo 3 level, Indy Jones level, Puzzle level, a Tetris level, etc), also played online multiplayer! The online multiplayer started with just two people and it was pretty good then. It got a bit laggy in the POD (before choosing a level) when one or two more sackpeople were added. Still, in the actual levels there was hardly any lag. Very impressive. And man, it was so much fun playing with three other sackpeople! Wow. So cool. There's so much to do in this game. Its just amazing. DF2506

I picked up Star Ocean 2 again... man, all sorts of warm fuzzy video game memories come back with this one. I plan on playing it until Star Ocean: First Departure is released, later on this month. Playing as Claude, since I almost always used to play as Rena. Still in the very first stages of the game, should get Celine very soon. So many nice memories of this game. I played this game as much as I did FFT when I was a teenager. The character dialog is so sweet and innocent right now... it's so cute to see Claude and Rena interact with each other. I missed the horrible voice acting too. The voice acting is SO BAD, that it's absolutely brilliant. I swear, I'll be quoting this game when I'm 80 years old. Can't wait until SOFD comes out! It ships on the 21st.

Playing lots of LittleBigPlanet recently. LBP is such a great game. It never ever gets old. There's always new stuff to do: whether its checking outs the tons and tons of levels people have created or editing your own levels! Or publishing your level! I published a level online today. The level is called "The Spooky Zone". Its very wacky/silly/spooky. Its my first real try at it, so its not a great level, but it was fun to make. I hope people like it! I'm also happy that the levels that are on there now will be on the finished product! Its going to be so awesome to see beta levels, plus all the new levels that'll be coming in! Two more weeks till the full game comes out! Can't wait! DF2506

I can't wait to get Little Big Planet it looks fun.
I also wouldn't mind getting Spore. Its for PC but the system requirments aren't too demanding. Looks like a fun game. I heard EA allows only ONE save though cause they want to encourage people to buy more than one copy. I think thats their reason anyways. pretty lame if you ask me.
Silent Hill 5: Homecoming is great. Some parts I think are a little too much action oriented which bothers me only a little bit. Silent Hill was never about lots of action. But its only a minor complaint. The puzzles and flow of the game are as addicting as ever. The story is somewhat interesting but its pretty vague. A solid Silent Hill experience for fans of the series or scary stuff in general.

I can't wait to get Little Big Planet it looks fun. Oh ya, its a ton of fun. The online in the beta still has some issues once and awhile though. Like tonight. I was playing the beta with Kikaro and it was lagging like crazy for both of us. Plus we had a hard time getting into user-created levels and such. I hope they have all the online aspects figured out with the final game. Still, even with all the lag, Kikaro and I had a lot of fun! I can't wait to see the final game. Its going to be awesome. Spore looks great! I hope that EA brings it out for the PS3. I know they could do it! I don't see them putting it on the 360 since the 360 isn't doing user content yet, but hey, the PS3 is starting it with LittleBigPlanet. Hopefully, EA is watching! That is lame. Still, looks like a fun game. I definitly hope its get ported to the PS3. So the game is good? I saw a preview on youtube for it, but it didn't look too good. What system are you playing it on? Is it a true next gen Silent Hill experiance or do you think they could have done better? Anyway, played lots of LittleBigPlanet tonight. Played multiplayer with Kikaro as I mentioned, but also created my second real level for LBP. Its called Sackwulf Ch. 1 V. 0.5. I haven't published it yet though. Well, I tried too...but...couldn't. lol. Anyway, I think I want to fine tune it a little more tomorrow and then publish it. The level is basically recreating Beowulf, LBP style! Well, the "fight" with Grendel and then seeing Grendel's mom! Or well, SackGrendel and SackGrendels mom. lol. hehe. I know its probably not a great level (there's no real challenge to it. its just a goofy/silly/fun re-creation of Beowulf), but it was fun to make. I'm reading Beowulf for a class right now and was inspired to make it. Here's hoping somebody likes it once its published. lol. I do plan to re-do it once the full game comes out though. Hopefully, I can make it even better then. And I would like to re-create some more scenes from Beowulf, like where Beowulf goes after Grendel's mom (underwater) and then the fight with the Dragon near the end. Hmmm. Well, anyway, the game is a ton of fun. So many cool things that can be done with it! DF2506

I finally got to play LBP today thanks to DF finding a Beta code for me. I got through the first stages and toyed around with the creator. I need to unlock more fun things. I like some of the things you can do with it though. I cant wait to get into production of my first Level. I shall call it, DF Death Trap. OR something similar, I dont know.
I was goofing around and saw that DF was online, so I invaded his Pod. Its kinda cool you dont have to wait for them to invite you I just picked him and came right in. Even started decorating his pod myself. Then I discovered you can put decorations on each other. Soon DF turned into a bizarre sack boy who sprouted a bunch of flowers and crazy goggly eyes. He looked so hilarious. It was worse because the changes were permanent until you manually removed them. HE then came into my world and had the same items on himself.
Bryce was there with me and we laughed so hard.
I cant wait until you get this Norfy. We will have too much fun!

Uh-oh! *hides* Can't wait to play it! Ya, its pretty cool. I like how they did multiplayer online. Its excellent off-line too. No split screen! Everybody is on the same screen just like the online! My dad and I had a blast playing the offline too. Its great to have somebody I know online with the beta. ha! Ya, you were throwing items on me left and right. I did get that donkey tail on you and that flaming arrow on your head! hehe. I liked how at one point we both had goofy hanging eyeballs on our sackboys. lol. We didn't get to play too many levels, but we had a ton of fun just goofing around. Hopefully we'll get to play again before the beta is over! hehe. Oh ya! We have to team up. Kikaro, Norfair, and DF heading out into LittleBigPlanet! We could call ourselves the Divinity Clan or something. hehe. Oh and I can't wait till they get that first patch out for the full game and add multiplayer Create mode (A Divinity Clan Production? lol ). Think of the crazyiness! DF2506
