Today, I downloaded Swords & Soliders for Wiiware. Its a Real-Time Stradegy game. The twist is: its a SIDE-SCROLLING real time stradegy game. And its great! The game centers around three factions: Vikings, Aztec, and Chinese. Its historically inaccurate. Yep, you read that right. The developers made sure everything was wrong on purpose! My favorite humorous bit so far: The Viking's love barbecues. hehe. Very fun game. Also, my dad downloaded Mario Vs. Donkey: the Mini's March Again for DsiWare. WOW. Its even better then S&S. Really. Very cool game. I love the Level Creator. I think its great that Nintendo also included an area where you can download levels from people you don't know! And upload levels you created to the server too. Finally. Nintendo should do more of that. Down with the friend codes!! lol. Played a ton of Animal Crossing today too. Discovered a better site then ACC. Its called the Cored Pear! Just a much better place to meet AC players and chat and exchange friend codes! No Nintendo-like rules of "behavior" too. Anyway, its been a good day. In other news, can't wait till June 18th! I didn't download FF7 cause I still have the disc & it works on my PS3, but I will definitly be downloading Metal Gear Solid 1 to my PS3 when it comes to the PSN! DF2506 " I do like the remake: Twin Snakes better, but man, I really liked playing the dream sequence of MGS1 in Metal Gear Solid 4. Made me want to play the orignal MGS1 again. So I'll have to get it and play it."

I can't get myself to play World of Warcraft anymore. I took this week off of raiding to catch a break from the game (and to watch the Penguins beat Detroit) but after a week without WoW I still can't bring myself to play much. Not even to raid which is my favorite thing to do in the game. The reason I am posting this here and not in the WoW thread is because I am playing other things. And I am too lazy to post in seperate threads right now. I am still playing Mass Effect and loving it. I have beaten the game twice now and going for a third. Right now its mainly to get some achievements. This is one game I feel I can get all the achievements. I will need to do a fourth playthrough but since I have been playing this so much I might want to do that later so I can play other things. Once I am done with Mass Effect I don't know what I want to play. Part of me wants to go and buy Resident Evil 5 but since the series has changed so much, I am not sure if I am even interested or not. I also want to try Fallout 3. It looks like a huge game, like Mass Effect, and has lots of DLC. But I also have Valkyrie Profile on my mind. I have a craving for a JRPG and FF13 isn't out for another year and I still have VP 1 and 2 on my shelf. So we'll see what I will do. EDIT>> Forgot to mention, a friend let me borrow Dead Rising. I love zombies but this game....is really quite bad. It controls so poorly. I am disapointed.

I'm playing:
Animal Crossing: City Folk: Lots! So many people online lately. Well, not tonight, but most of the time.
Red Faction: Gurellia demo: Downloaded this demo for my PS3 and WOW. So much cooler than the other Red Factions (didn't like them). Its cool to be able to blow up...well...everything. Not only that, but you can ram vechiles into buildings, take a sledhammer to buildings/stuff, etc. And its on Mars! Oh and the graphics are good too. Fun demo. May have to rent the actual game.
Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times: For the DS. My dad ordered this and got it in the mail today. Its his game, but I started a character on it too. The basic concept is: Harry Potter Meets Animal Crossing. And you know, as much as I love Animal Crossing, this just might be better. Its at the very least better than Animal Crossing: Wild World. Just so much to do in this game! Its a lot of fun. I'm already addicted to it.

I am on the last island of Infamous now. Its a very interesting game. Some of these missions are hard as hell now. I cant wait to find out what happens with some of the characters.
Oh and by the way, one of the Good/Bad choices you get towards the end. I ended up taking too long to decide that both options failed. The game continued but the fact that the decision was as big as it was really was interesting. I have a save right before that that I might go back and use again. Great game.

I'm Playing:
Magician's Quest: I've been playing this game a lot. Its so very addicting. I think I'm much more addicted to this game right now than Animal Crossing. Just a really fun game for the DS (wish they'd do a Wii verison too). Lots of fun. I might just have to get a DS again so I can get my own copy of this! lol.
Animal Crossing: City Folk: Still playing this some. Not much going on though.
Anyway, thats what I'm playing now. Gotta get back to FF4: After Years and Swords & Soliders sooner or later. lol.

Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! I'm thinking about renting something tomorrow...so I may rent the PS3 verison (if the video store has a copy in...lol). I really do want to play it. It looks pretty cool. Other choices: Infamous and Red Faction Guriella. I think Infamous will win out if Ghostbusters is all rented out (or the store doesn't have it yet...). The Infamous demo was great. (aside: Was thinking about renting the Conduit for Wii, but I don't think it comes out till next week...) Anyway, I'm still playing Magician's Quest a lot and liking it. Finally got into 'Mystery Time', a special time where there's all kinds of freaky bugs & fish, plus the game's town now looks like the town from Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas. Well, close anyway. Oh and tomorrow is my first Mystery in Magician's Quest. Should be fun. Played a little bit of Crossing today and saw an old friend. Remember Killer Dejibo? I visited his town today and he came over to our new town. Very cool. DF2506

It actually looks pretty decent for a movie based game. Most of those suck. I am back on track with my Final Fantasy playthrough. From 1 to 10. I restarted Final Fantasy VI. I wasn't too far when I tried this last time. I don't want to do this on GBA cause the music really bothers me. So I have a SNES rom running. Good times are to be had with this game. Nostalgia, I love you.

Yes, Norfy is teh evilz.
Been playing Pharaoh and FFXII. Pharaoh is extremely slow as usual, and I'm supposed to be going to Dr. Cid's lab in FFXII. I'm level 58 though... >.> I'm so over leveled cuz I was trying to do sidequests, and loitering because I hate this dungeon, and I know that Reddas time is coming up soon, and I'm so not looking forward to babysitting him. "HAY! WUTS DAT OVER DERE?! I KEEL 4 U, K?! LOLZ! I DED! REZ PLZ!!!" over and over and over again. I can't do any sidequests with him, because he's just a nuisance, and dies repeatedly. A waste of Phoenix Downs.

I'm playing: Magician's Quest: Still a lot of fun. Animal Crossing: City Folk: Glad more people are playing. inFamous: I wanted to rent Ghostbusters, but it was rented out. So, I rented inFamous. Wow. What a cool game. I really like the exploration, graphics, powers, etc. Btw, still want to rent Ghostbusters sooner or later. Watched the first Ghostbusters movie yesterday and now I want to play the game more than ever! lol. You know, I am a bit tempted by the Ghostbusters Home enviorment, but...I don't know. Home has really never worked right for me. It takes much too long to download anything in Home (and I hate re-downloading places & having to update Home all the time). I've still never seen that Tree Apartment I got for free. *sigh* So, buying the Ghostbusters firehouse for home would prob be a waste. Too bad. It looks very cool. DF2506

I still have not watched the second Ghostbusters movie. I'm a huge fan but I've never seen it. I should rent that XD Quitting WoW has given me lots more time to play other things. I am 6 hours into Final Fantasy 6. I am ready to head into Zozo, and soon after, the opera scene. By far one of my favorite moments in gaming is that opera scene with Celes. So memorable. I am also replaying Knights of the Old Republic. I'm not going too heavy on this game as FF6 has more of my attention but its still fun playing this from time to time. I am playing the PC version cause you can download mods for PC. Unfortanatly, the only mod I have found that is worthwhile is a save game editor. You can customize your character 100% with Stats, Skills, Abilities. You can even turn non Jedi team mates into Jedi. Its kinda fun to tinker around with but I hope I can find some better mods for this game. EDIT>> Oh oh, I found one. Its looking like mini expansion of sorts. Its a new area alltogether and gives you 5 hours of new gameplay. And the dude who made it even had friends do voice acting for it and from what I read on the forums it pretty high quality. But you need to beat most of the game for it to become available so I have a long way to go.

I got a good deal on a fully backwards compatible PS3 so I went ahead and picked up Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3. Haven't even got to touch the latter yet, but I already know I'm going to like it since I loved the last two.
Valkyria is a very fun game to play. It's like a combination between 3rd person shooter and strategy. When a person moves, it's all in real time, so you put yourself at risk by just wondering by other units because they will shoot you; and you will die. The only complaint I have about this game is the retarded AI. It seems at points they should be stomping your ass into the ground, but then the unit seemingly runs around in circles. I even had an enemy stop his turn right by me (which he got maimed for doing in the first place) and he didn't even shoot me!
From what I read, you are glad the AI is a bit fluky when you get to the middle of the game and you are severely outmatched. I am already the fan of the system, and would like to see other strategy games implement this system. This is the first sega game I've like in like 10 years >_>;
