FF6 is fun but I never realised how short it is. In truth, it is just as long as any other FF but as anyone who has played it knows, the second half of the game is pretty much sidequests to rebuild your party. You pretty much complete the Wold of Balance then you are from that point on ready to beat the game. If it were not for the missing party members and the fact that they are all underlevelled. There is no additional storyline to add to the overall plot.
But I am ok with this. I still treasure it as my favorite in the series. I am almost ready to fly onto the floating continent now to start the WoR half of the game. I just need some level ups and spells for all my team mates. As I recall this is where the difficulty of the game starts to spike so I want to be prepared. Its been a long time since I played this game.

Still rocking FFXII. Entered Giruvegan last night. It's obvious I seriously overleveled, My Zodiac Spear + Berserk + Bravery + Haste + Cat Ear Hood just destroys any monster within seconds. Bosses take less than 5 seconds to die. However, the optional side quests I'm getting are still hard. I attempted the Hell Wyrm yesterday, and stood a good chance, but I ran out of Phoenix Downs (only had 19) and just couldn't cast Raise quickly enough. I should be able to win with more Phoenix Downs. I have the option to kill Gilgamesh now too. I'm dreading that, I think, but I will do it. I just remember how difficult Enkidu was to hit. Vaan & Balthier aren't exactly accurate with the Zodiac Spear either, seems like it's parried 20% of the time with even normal monsters. However, the 8 hit combo Vaan got on the Hell Wyrm was very impressive. Only reason he stopped was because he was stomped to death. ;D That battle taught me another lesson too... if the monster is THAT BIG, Mr. Super Tank Baschiness won't use his shield... So I may have to *gasp!* replace him as tank on those large monsters. And, god help me, I WILL kill Zodiark this time! I swear it! Plan on killing Ultima as soon as possible, she's up next.

I'm playing: Animal Crossing: City Folk: Had a bad AC: CF experiance recently. We met some people who, I'm pretty sure, didn't know they were only playing a game. Took the game way too seriously. Freaked me out. Scary. Magician's Quest: The mystery was today, but I haven't solved it yet. Actually, I think there's two mysteries. Gotta solve one and then I think I'll be able to solve the other. I think. lol. Bejewelled: I don't play this very often, but its a fun puzzle game. Definitly a time killer. Glad I kept it on my PS3. Btw, downloaded Metal Gear Solid (PS1). I've been tempted ever since it came out and decided to finally download it. Haven't played it yet though. I do like Twin Snakes better, but I really enjoyed playing the classic dream sequence in MGS4, so hopefully I'll get into the first Metal Gear Solid more this time. Also downloaded a new free LBP costume. Gotta boot the game up today and give the costume a look. So, today I'll prob be playing Animal Crossing (still addicted to it even after my experiance, but you know...not THAT addicted), Metal Gear Solid, Magician's Quest, and LittleBigPlanet! Sounds like a good gaming day! DF2506

I'm playing:
Animal Crossing: City Folk: I like this game, but I'm unhappy that it seems like people are starting to not play less again. Also unhappy that we ran into one of those freaky people again. Gah. I really miss our old friends...
Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times: Found a moon today in the Haunted House. Took some new classes too.
Metal Gear Solid: This game is a lot of fun! The graphics are VERY dated on the PS3, but I like the gameplay & the overhead view doesn't bug me as much as it use too. Got to the fight with Pyscho Mantis tonight. Haven't beat him yet, but I thought it was hilarous when he said, " So you like Suikoden? " hehehe.
Oh and I did play a little LittleBigPlanet yesterday. Always fun!

If you ever play PS1 MGS again make sure to call Mei Ling when you enter the ladys bathroom (right before you hook up with Meryl). You get a little sequence that wasn't in the Gamecube version. The Floating Continent is rough in FF6. I can't handle most of the baddies there. I am grinding my characters to 25 and having everyone learn all the spells available to me before I try again. Its crazy how much harder the game gets at this point. XD

I remember that random difficulty spike there and how reaally damn hard it gets after Kefka goes even more batshit insane (that and I took Celes with me and so I only had 3 people to work with while trying to escape <.< ). It's been far too long, but use elemental weaknesses to your advantage and remember, stats do not grow during levels, your espers determine your growth. Mold your characters accordingly.

I'm grinding right on the floater now. The exp and magic points you get is pretty high here. As I level my dudes get stronger and the baddies become easier to handle so I want to take advantage of this point and grind my party here till I feel I am ready to move on. As for Esper growth. I keep an eye on my party members "tnl" and when they are ready to hit a level up I switch out Espers based on what each gives at level ups. And then switch back so they can learn spells again. Sometimes I forget to do this and it sucks if a character is equiped with an Esper that gives nothing but for the most part I am keeping a good eye on it. And when I get to Kefka to beat the game I don't want to rely on Ultima this time. That spell makes things way too easy.

Yeah, that's how I beat him, Ultima spam. Terra, Celes, Relm spammed Ultima, Locke stood and looked pretty. >.>
Beat the Hell Wyrm, and Gilgamesh in FFXII. Hell Wyrm took a long time but was fun, and Gilgamesh was sadly, a push over. Having the Zodiac Spear makes a huge difference in the ease of these fights.

Norfair: I will definitly be playing Metal Gear Solid again, so I'll keep that moment in mind. Thanks! I'm playing: Animal Crossing: City Folk: July is here! Lots of great bugs & fish in Animal Crossing in July. Lots of fun too. Magician's Quest: Mystery of the dragon today! My dad solved it. Didn't do too much on this game today. Soon, another mystery! Metal Gear Solid: Took a couple of days off on Metal Gear and then got back to it tonight. Beat Pyscho Mantis (forgot about changing the controller ports! hehe). Then, went through the caves and ran into Sniper Wolf. Had to go waaaaay back for the Sniper Rifle. Then, got back to Sniper Wolf. Saved & quit for the night. Soon, I will fight Sniper Wolf. Man, this game is a lot of fun. Very glad I downloaded it. Can't wait till Capcom brings out Resident Evil 2 (one of my favorite Resident Evil games) and Dino Crisis. Gotta download those. May download Resident Evil 3 also when it comes out! Sounds like there will be some cool PS1 games coming soon for the PSN. DF2506

Norfair: Yep, Capcom posted on the Playstation blog a list of games that they will be releasing on PSN in the future. Dino Crisis was one of them and so was Resident Evil 2 and 3. I will definitly be getting Dino Crisis & Resident Evil 2! I may get Resident Evil 3 also. Not sure yet. I bet it'll be awhile before we see three anyway. Hope Dino Crisis comes soon at least. Only played it a bit (rented it back in the PS1 days). From what I recall, it was like Resident Evil, but with dinos. I hear that it was made by the Resident Evil 2 team too! I'm playing: Animal Crossing: City Folk: We got a new DLC item from Nintendo today. It was...wait for...wait for....a HOT DOG HAT. Yes, the top of the hat looks like a Hot Dog...in a bun! Um...stupid, yes, hilarous, yes. I couldn't stop laughing. I was very suprised by this item. The japenese have a very strange sense of humor...hehe. Magician's Quest: Solved another mystery the other day. Also: today I became a 2-star wizard! ;D Metal Gear Solid: Beat Sniper Wolf! Ya! Then...Snake got captured & tortured! Boo! Decided to submit! Now Snake won't stop whinning about Meryl being dead. In other news, Liquid won't leave Snake alone. He keeps attacking Snake with a helicopter. Hmm. Maybe Snake can take him out with that missile launcher... LittleBigPlanet: Played a couple of great levels today: one was called the Bunker and the other was called Pet Sackboy. Very creative & cool levels. In other news, there was a teaser the other day for a Future LBP dlc. The teaser was a black box with these words in it: WHO YA GOING TO CALL? Hmm...wonder what that could mean.... ;D Can't wait! DF2506

I won't buy the Resident Evil titles cause I have them all on Gamecube anyways. But Dino Crisis will be a must purchase for me. Always wanted to play those games.
I heard Square-Enix also released Final Fantasy VII for the PSN for $10. Not that I plan on buying it cause I have two copys of the game (one for PC, one for PS1) but its there. And it surprises me. Usually when Square rereleases a Final Fantasy title they add some new stuff to it and release it on a handheld for full price.
I am still playing Final Fantasy VI. I just entered the World of Ruin and have Celes, Sabin and Edgar back in group together. I know I just need to find Setzer now and get his airship and I will be ready to recruit my team back. I honestly can't remember the WoR much so I have no idea who I should go for and in what order. Someone on another forum that I visit suggested Cyan. I seem to remember there being a dream world for him.....I think? I can't remember. :/

Nope. Cyan is the one mailing the letters to the girl. There is a dream thing with Doma castle, but its a side quest do believe.
I just got him last night hehe. Started up my game that I started like a year ago. It was at the beginning of the world of Ruin. i have Celes, Edgar, Setzer, Cyan, and Sabin in my list now. I think Locke is next, I cant remember.

You need to have a well established group before you tackle Locke. Cause I remember he is in the Phoenix cave and you need to have atleast two groups of 4 to stand a chance in there. And now that you say it, I do remember Cyan doing the letters. I got him messed up with the dream thing cause he is from Doma.

I barely remember WoR as well. Been close to 10 years since I last played that far, though.
Still sorta just goofing around in FFXII. Reddas joined, much to my dismay. Killed Ultima, and cleared Giruvegan and The Great Crystal. Right now I'm doing stuff for the Hunt Club. After I get that almost finished I'll go to the Pharos to unlock the last phase of the game, finally. I have the option of fighting Zodiark now too... but I'm in no rush.
