You need to do the Doma side quest to learn his final Sword Tech so keep it in mind.
Gau is back on the Veldt. Shadow is in the coliseum though I forget the weapon you need (Striker? ) but you have to find him in the Veldt cave first UNLESS you didn't wait for him, in which case Relm will be there. If you did wait for Shadow, Relm is in Jidoor trying to exorcise a painting. Strago is outside the Fanatics' Tower but you need Relm. Terra is in Mobliz but you can't re-recruit her right away, I don't remember the prerequisites for her anymore, but the Phunbaba fight can be hard. You're right about Locke, he's in the Phoenix cave and requires at least 5 party members but you want more than that. Mog is still in the Narshe caves, and you need him to recruit Umaro who is deeper in the cavern. Gogo is on triangle island in the northeast part of the map I believe, you need to be eaten by the giant worm mob.
Think I'm missing some people...

I still have an old issue of Game Informer from '99 that has a walkthrough of FF5 and 6 so I might just use that. I don't like using walkthroughs but I'm not really a big fan of WoR even though I love FF6. And guess whats on the front cover? Dino Crisis!

Norfair: Never did buy Resident Evil 2 or 3 for the Cube. I've played the orignal a million times now, so of course I didn't buy that (for the PSN). Though...I was tempted for a moment. Haven't played Resident Evil 2 in a LONG time and its one of my favorite Resident Evils. So, I'll definitly be getting that one! Not sure about 3 though. Hmm. Dino Crisis is a must though. Don't believe I have that Game Informer Norfair! Lucky! Hmm. Wonder if I have any Dino Crisis stuff in one of my old magazines... As for FF7, I was tempted to buy that from the PSN. But then, I thought, well, I have the orignal disc so there really wasn't a need to buy it. Still...lol. The only PS1 classics I've downloaded so far are Suikoden and Metal Gear Solid. I do plan to get Dino Crisis and Resident Evil 2. I also really wish they'd put Legend of Dragoon up! That was a very good game! I'm playing: Animal Crossing: City Folk: A little bit. Not much happening at the moment. Magician's Quest: Took another magic class today and bought a Space Floor & the Solar System! Metal Gear Solid: Very glad I bought this. I'm on Disc 2 now. hehe. It was funny when I went down some stairs and then all of the sudden...the Metal Gear Solid logo comes up and I'm like, " Hmmm." and then it says, " Insert Disc 2" and I'm like..." Ummm...well...you see..." and then I thought about it and pushed the PS3 button & looked under Switch discs. I switched to disc 2, pushed start and off I went. funny. Now, I'm fighting Raven... In other news: here's something pretty cool: blog.us.playstation.com/2009/07/06/again-we-ask/Can't wait! DF2506

I'm ok with two forms myself. Anything more than that and it gets annoying. I agree the less forms the better. I remember the Final Boss of Digital Devil Saga 2 was perfect. One final boss but with multpile phases. In a way its kind of the same thing as having more forms but its also differant cause the strategy you use from the first phase to the last is pretty much the same but with some small variations. So you don't need to get used to a differant wave of attacks and tactics all over again.
I am almost done FF6. I have all my character and I have all the sidequests done. I just need to get my characters levelled to 60 before I get into Kefka's Tower. They are in the 40 to 50 range. There are a ton of characters in this game so it may seem like it takes a while to get everyone levelled. Luckily, this game has the dinosaur forest and a Vanish/Doom glitch which makes levelling up near the end easy.

What is this glitch?

For an easy, instant kill you cast Vanish on an enemy and then Doom right after. It works on the SNES and PS1 version but I am not sure about the GBA version. The only enemy that it doesn't work on is the Cactaur in the Maranda desert. I think it works on all the bosses too. I remember seeing a video of someone using it on Kefka but I can't find it this time. :\ Its been what I use for levelling up since it is a super fast way of killing T-Rexs. I don't use this glitch when I'm playing through story stuff though.

Ugh I remember Wild ARMS 3 final boss... had like 15 stages or something. It was a pain in the ass, regardless.
I never used the Vanish/Doom trick in FF6, though I knew it existed. I just let Terra tear stuff up with magic, because I got that dual magic cast item. Remember a friend at the time being seriously pissed because it dropped so quickly for me.
Playing 12 and Tactics still... Just been trying to unlock some Bestiary entries in 12, which is really just me loitering. Also picked up Tactics again, and have just been doing fights in it, though I'm considering starting a new game. I need to beat 12 first though.
Playing 12 again has made me interested in Revanant Wings. Maybe I can pick it up, sometime. I know it's about like FFTA, but... I'm enjoying the story of FF12 now, even if it did get all "weird". Still, hasn't really bothered me yet.
At any rate, on an Ivalice kick. Either FFT, or Vagrant Story is coming up next! And for those who haven't played Vagrant Story... it's a seriously good game, and very challenging. Try it out sometime.

I have a new technique for levelling up. I have Locke with the Genji Glove/Offering relic Combo plus the Atma Weapon and Random Dagger. This gives him 8 devestating attacks in one turn. I have him group up with only one person and I give them the exp egg. It takes about 10 minutes to level up a person from 40 to 60 like this. Its a lot faster than bringing in a group of 4 and having them share exp. This way its only being split two ways and the person I want levelled is getting there faster.
The problem though, if you can even call it a problem, is that Locke is soaring past 70. By the time I level up Mog and Shadow he will be 75. A level 75 with the Genji/Offering/Atma combo is ten times more devestating than a group of 4 spamming Ultima. I initially said I didn't want to rely on Ultima for this last portion of the game cause it makes things too easy. But now I am considering if should leave Locke behind for the same reason. Heh XD

Played the Ghostbusters demo for the PS3 today! the Verdict: Excellent. Its like playing a Ghostbusters movie! The graphics are really good, the gameplay is fun (and challenging too), the voice work sounds good, and of course all the right music is there too! I'm very impressed. Can't wait to play the actual game. Maybe I'll get to rent it soon. I hope so! (gotta play the demo again tomorrow) In other Ghostbusters news, check out this: www.flickr.com/photos/playstationblog/3704271351/^^Isn't that cool? I've got to get that! Anyway, also played Animal Crossing & Magician's Quest today. Visited a couple of other towns today in Crossing. Nothing to report on Magician's Quest. DF2506

I still wanna try Ghostbusters. Speaking of, my mom was watching one of those entertainments shows recently and they had a quick talk with Ernie Hudson I believe it was. And he said they are talking about getting the actors together again for a third movie. This is all speculation though and its second hand news from my mom. I havn't heard it reported anywhere else. But we can hope. EDIT>> OMFG!, IT'S TRUE, IT'S TRUE! ....clicky www.imdb.com/title/tt1289401/ FF6 - Kefka's Tower is by far the funnest and most innovative dungeon in RPG.....EVER! Its amazing how you split off into 3 groups to open up paths for each other while fighting bosses along the way. There needs to be more dungeons like this in Final Fantasy and RPGs in general. I am ready to beat FF6 now. I am right in front of Kefka. I will start up Final Fantasy VII the moment this is done. Fun fun!

Well, I'm at a loss at the minute. Dunno what to play at all. I got FFVII for my PSP the other day and have been playing that a little on and off. But it's not holding my interest at all. I saw Wild Arms on the PSP store but can't buy it because I don't live in America. Total fucking shit that is, as I'm in the mood to play that but want it portable. So I'm probably gunna say screw Sony and re-homebrew my PSP again just so I can. Considering that I'm willing to PAY for it, but CAN'T because I don't live in the right country is ridiculous. It truly does amaze me how region lock out still exists in a "digital" era. I can't believe how businesses are still getting digital content wrong. >.> Anyways, that's another rant altogether. So, I was thinking about playing through Digital Devil Saga again. I listened to the soundtrack the other day and it completely blew my mind all over again, so I'm sorta already in the mood for it. I dunno why though, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to put it in and play... weird I know, but I'm just not feeling it for some reason. I'm in the mood for something old school, so I was thinking about FFIV or something. But then I dunno about that either cuz I want to play a game that has a lot of depth and I can mess around with characters. Then my thoughts turned to Rogue Galaxy because I liked the weapon synthesis and factory. Buuuuuuuut then I thought the game wasn't exactly difficult and I want a little bit of a challenge... Ultimately, I dunno. I have no idea what to play and even less of an idea of what I want. So I'm gunna sit around in this void until something grabs me. That is, unless you guys have some suggestions. xD

I saw Wild Arms in the store. That sucks that PSN content still has region barriers. I never played a WA game so I might pick that up eventually.
As for DDS, just pop it in and play. If you get into it great, if not, oh well. Other than that I don't really have any suggestions. Also, if you are into western RPGs at all, or you're ok with third person shooter type gameplay, Mass Effect is a great RPG. I loved it personally.
As for what I am playing, I beat FFVI and have moved onto VII. Not too far, I am still in Midgar.

Yes, that does suck... if you can read the language the game was written in, why should it matter? I know the feeling about not knowing what to play. I'm sorta the same right now, I've started a new game in FFT because I'm away from my PS2. However, I'm already obsessing over my generic characters, as I always do. Damn me and my OCD. Been also considering playing Wild ARMs 2 again... like UC, I listed to the OST recently and remembered how much I loved the game. Also wanna play Breath of Fire 4 or 5 again. Still trying to play lotro half-assed... but I think I'm about at an end with MMOs. I wanna play the new Tomb Raider... but my copy of it is for PC, and the game is too high quality for my comp. Need to see pricing on the PS2 version.

You guys should check this out. Its a bit on the serious side but its interesting. A week ago, a site called ScrewAttack.com held their very first video game convention called SGC. One of the features at SGC was to have Jack Thompson appear on stage and be a part of a Q&A and debate on adult oriented video games. The whole thing was well done. The crowd that attended represented gamers very well and Jack Thompson is not the big douche bag we've all made him out to be. While I can't say I agree with all of his motives he does bring up some good opinions to the table. I highly reccomend watching this. I've put FFXII on hold again, and have picked up FFT. I started a new game, and I've already gone overboard. I've had two sets of generics, one to earn money, and then those were dismissed one by one while I recruited new people. I've had to level down the second team twice already, and I'm not even out of chapter 1 yet. I had them up to level 22, but then leveled down to get back to the level I'm supposed to be. It's weird seeing level 8 generics with mastered classes. Entering chapter 2 soon, but still taking it slow. I always end up over leveling because I love the game play so much. Hope to finish FFXII sometime soon. Still want to play it, but FFT has my attention now.
