What about Cecil's Dark/Souleater ability? The one where you lose HP to hit all the enemy dudes on screen? It'd be interesting to see Paladin Cecil use that

Ya, the Darkness ability is an augment. You have to steal it from Odin when you fight him. I haven't tried it out on Cecil or anybody yet though. lol. Gotta play some more FF4 DS and maybe some Animal Crossing: WW today if I get the chance... DF2506

Well, Cecil's Darkness is not like it was before, you used to sacrifice HP to do an all enemies attack, but now, it's like FFXI's Souleater ability, I think. I may be wrong, I wasn't the DRK of the LS. Now, Cecil's attack power is drastically improved, but each time he attacks he loses HP instead. It's no longer all enemies, it's just a powered up version of the normal attack. It's still good though. As for me, I have to start over again! Well, back to before I did the Lodestone cavern. I got in a hurry and completely forgot about waking Yang up, and I just now realized that I missed Barbariccia's Whirlwind Augment. So, back to my previous save. Thankfully it's not too far off from Barbariccia's fight. Also let me say that the enemies in the Giant of Babil were kicking my sorry ass! Sheesh. I was level 60-67 too!

I haven't gone to the Giant of Babil yet. I'm going to build up some, then go back into the Bahamet (sp?) cave and try to get him before going to the Giant.
Though I have to say, I'll probably be using the Safe Travel augment alot in the Giant of Babil. At least till I get to a Save anyway. lol!

From what I remember of XI... Souleater = awesome...
Unless you're the healer, than you're just thinking of ways to kill me so you stop wasting mp... <_<

I was always on the other end of Souleater, the healer. Most of the time I said screw it, and let the poor sap just die. My kitty MP just couldn't stand up to that strain. I remember trying to heal a DRK in Garliage as RDM... before Refresh. Ew. Mas, that banner of yours is strangely mesmerizing.

Heh, I still remember one time as a Dark Knight. We were all outside of Al Zhabi doing skill ups and I decided to use a Last Resort/Sneak Attack/Soul Eater/Guillotine. I did MASSIVE damage but I killed myself with full HP. That was something else

I did over 2000 damage with souleater/guillotine comboination. Though this was when dancers were broken, so I was never in too much danger. Though I made caller swear millions of times XD
As for the sig, it's meant to be additively awesome

I'm going through FF4 quite fast here. I already have Edge back in my party and I'm ready to go through the sealed cavern. The one with all the monster doors. So I'm already getting close to where I was when the game died. I made a seperate save file on file 3 just in case that happens again. Not sure if it will help or not but its better than not taking measures at all. Let's just hope the game doesn't crash again.
What's odd, though is that when the game crashed I lost all my saved status yet the music player, which is only usable once you beat the game, was still there. XD

Okaaaay, back in the Cave of Trials. First things first, I'm fighting Palom's boss to see if it glitches out. if it does.....be sure to check the evening news tonight of a Canadian going insane and sweeping the ice furiously at people! I have the game saved on all three slots just to be safe. EDIT>> No glitchyness this time. Zoot!

I beat Bahamunt last night, then went to the Giant of Babil. I beat the fights with the arch-fiends, then saved, and then tried the fight with the Attack Node/CPU/Defense Node. Lost that battle, but I'll try again sometime today. This game is still very addictive. DF2506

We're playing SC4 a bit now, trying to level up the characters. The game's "story" mode is starting to piss me off. The tried and true method of "We know it's not hard, so we'll just make the AI defend constantly and have the psychic ability to counter all your attacks" difficulty shines through here...
Eh but what can you expect? This genre will never escape that bullshit so you just kinda hafta deal with it. I like the customization aspect but I don't like how it makes everyone into [man]whores. There's not MUCH, but there is female fanservice this time around. Kilik + skin tight chainmail + thong = yikes.
Though there are significantly fewer panty shots this time around, the women couldn't be bouncier. Even Talim bounces...and she's 14. Just wrong.
I'm maxing out .hack//GU when I'm not playing this. I need just one more Ryu Book to be complete. I fell *really* far behind last time so I'm trying to preempt it this time.

You know I never understood why fighting games latly are having story modes attatched to them. Who plays fighting games for the story anyways? All they need are the classic arcade mode, tournament mode and possibly a tag team setting. Beat FF4 lastnight and now I'm doing the Lunar Ruins side dungeon. For those who played the GBA version of 4 I'm sure you remember what a pain in the ass Edge's part of the dungeon is. All I have left is Cid's and the Twin's section then I can beat the boss and move on to Final Fantasy V. Just out of curiousty, has anyone here played the GBA versions of 5 and 6 yet? I've had these since the day they came out last year but I havn't touched either. I just remember a lot of us playing the GBA 4 when it came out back then.
