I was looking at FFV for the GBA on Amazon the other night because it was cheap, but I didn't pick it up. I've been wanting to play it though, but with my ADD I probably wouldn't be playing it long. I believe there are some new (and pointless) jobs this time around and it's almost guaranteed there's a new dungeon.
...come to think of it, I think all the rereleases have new dungeons. Cuz wow that's super juicy extra content right there! >.>

I don't see anything wrong with the dungeons. Atleast FF4's since its only one I know. It's added 8 extra hours to my overall playtime so far. Probably will get to 9 by the time I beat it. I'd say thats reasonable for extra stuff.
I found some stuff on Kingdom Hearts. Not KH3, though but three KH related games. One for PSP, DS, and mobile phones. Yeah....phones. Does anyone actually play games on phones? Other than Tetris perhaps here and there? XD

Mobile phone games are huge in Japan. They're about five to seven years ahead of us in cell phone technology over there. There's a reason you see so many games and animes with characters whose cell phones could control their entire house. SE in particular has plenty of games on cell phones. There are some chocobo games we'll never get, additional addons like what Dirge of Cerberus did...a completely and fully functional online .hack game....a complete version of FF13 coming soon, and then there's that KH example. Their cell phones make ours look like those giant monster trucks you saw on people's ears in Saved By The Bell.
It's what Nokia was trying to do with the Ngage but completely missed the point and failed at it miserably. Someday we'll have that kind of technology on our shores but by then you could probably do mind control with phones in japan.
The problem I have with extra dungeons is that they're usually just added in last minute like how FF1's dungeon was. It's just a bunch of hodgepodge data with familiar bosses. I liked FF2's extra dungeon as it explained the other side of the story, of the characters who died, though. But then from what I read they did it again in FFV advance: the extra dungeon is just a random assortment of weirdness. And it's what I'm afraid CT is gonna do.
I've little interest in Kingdom Hearts Coded. It's just ANOTHER retelling of the original KH and Chains of Memories already did that. We didn't need it again. I'm more concerned with the one that's going to tell the story of Organization XII since KH2 told us pretty much nothing. But if that's the one on the DS then I'm outta luck I guess. I'm wondering if there will be a KH3, since it looks like one of those games is already telling the story in the video at the end of KH2. I saw Ven there.

I'm in the final dungeon on FF4 DS. I have the Safe Travel augment on, so I don't have to worry about random battles (love it). I'm just getting a lot of the weapons in the final dungeon right now. Slowly, very, very slowly making my way to the boss. lol.

Hmm, yeah that is kinda true about the extra dungeons. Especially for the FF1 side dungeon's. They did seem quite random. The FF4 one is fun but its strange cause when you first enter a voice tells you that each character will be faced with their greatest fears in each trial. Thats true for Rydia, Kain and Rosa but the rest of the character's trial have nothing to do with their fears. Infact, Edge even says he has fun with his (I personally don't have fun with that one though). I personalyl didn't like FF2's dungeon. I didn't like how you got your four main characters buffed that much then the extra dungeon was a high level dungeon but with low level characters that died through the course of the game. So then you need to "try" and grind your stats back up. I guess we'll see what FF5 and 6's dungeons' will be like. I'm sure 6 will involve splitting your characters into three groups of four in which case I'm sure I will have loads of fun with that one. I was always a huge fan of that concept. I guess I can't understand the cellphone gaming thing cause of the simple fact that I have yet to own a cellphone. So I imagine it pretty hard to see people playing games on those things. I'm in the minority of people in this world that has no use for such a device. EDIT>> Beat Zeromus EG. Cool looking son of a bitch if I do say so myself. I just don't understand why he has a woman attatched to his chest. Awkward!

No one is posting so I'm forst to double post. Zoot!
I picked up FF4 DS for shits and giggles. I have no intention of playing it right now as I'd rather play through FF5 (then 6, then 7 etc.) but I will play through it eventually. I did play a bit of it though. I am pleased with the difficulty. It is harder than any of the Normal/Hard/Japanese versions of the game that were in 2D. I was planning on getting to the Village of Mist during my demo run but I couldn't beat the Mist Dragon. I'd have to grind a few levels if I wanted to do it. In all other versions you just needed to smack it around a bit and you could continue. On the DS, it killed me. I was surprised.
The voice acting is better than I thought it would be. But still not that great. Its not horrible, its good, but I've definatly seen better. My only problem though is Kain's voice. Why does he sound like Christian Bale's Batman? Cecil is the Dark Knight here afterall. And speaking of which, I'm not too fond of how the characters pronounce Cecil's name. Seh-sul....... -_-
The characters models look ok in 3D but they are a little diporportioned. I noticed this especially with Cecil. He has a thin body but a massive head and it looks so wrong. I have not seen anything with the augment system as I didn't get far in the game so I can't comment on that. What I will say though is that the game is a waste of the dual screen. The only thing that the two screens was good for was the opening cinematic when you see scenes on the bottom screen and the top of the scenery on the top. It looks cool but other than that the touch screen feature is more of an annoyance. In all honesty I think this game would have been better suited for the PSP.

I don't think anybody does. Most reviews I've read say the same thing, and, y'know, "Seh-sul" is a *woman's* version of Cecil, i.e, Cecille. Apparently SE's localization team does not know this. Cecil is done by Yuri Lowenthal and no matter what character he does, he whines, so I'm not sure how much I like him. He's not BAD, by any means, but it's the same trait in all his characters. And then you have Kain who allegedly is voiced by Liam o'Brian. I dunno about that, because if you've listened to some ofhters of O'Brian's other characters, you know he sounds absolutely nothing like that. He usually plays psycho mad scientists or raging flamers, or just plain strange people. Not a steroid abuser... I've almost finished up .hack//GU 1 so I gotta move on to 2 soon before I get bored of THAT too. I dunno what's with my ADD lately but it's getting annoying. >.>

Played some Animal Crossing: Wild World yesterday. Haven't played FF4 DS for a couple of days. I'm near the end of the game still. Gotta get back to it. Btw, it looks like I might get a PS3 soon. I wanna get the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 (my Walmart has one...at the moment), but if I can't (if its not there when I have the money...), well, I'll probably go with the 40gig. Not happy with some of the features on the 40gig, but I really want to get one now. Especially for Metal Gear Solid 4. Though, I admit, the more I read about LittleBigPlanet, the more I get excited about that game (hmm. might want to pre-order that if I get the chance). Plus: Bioshock looks awesome & so does Fallout 3, Resident Evil 5, and of course FF13. And there are other games I like. Oh and I admit that I'm now, officially, excited about Blu-ray (since it looks like we might go HD soon too). So yes, I'm finally convinced. lol. DF2506 " Might be a couple of weeks or so before I can get it though."

Little Big Planet does look like a fun game. It looks more like something that Nintendo would come up with which makes the fact that its on PS3 more interesting.
I kinda noticed a bit of a whining, whimpering tone in Cecil's voice. It wasn't super bad but then again, I have not played much of the game. It could be worse or it could get better. As I said, my biggest problem was Kain's Batman voice *shudder*
Final Fantasy V is fun. I just met up with Mid and he and Cid fixed up the fire ship for me to sail around with. The story to the game is very uninteresting, the characters are boring but the gameplay is superb. This is only my second time playing the game so I've forggoton a lot in the 8 or so years since when I first played it. But the battle and job/sub job system are what make this game so much fun. My characters and jobs are as follows...
Bartz - Warrior/Monk Lenna - White Mage/Summoner Galuf - Black Mage/Blue Mage Faris - Ninja/Thief
The good thing about the GBA version is that the translation is totally redone from the crappy PS1 version. I remember one line in particular that boggled my mind on the PS1.
Faris: When I was young I was rescued by pirates when I was young.
First of all, rescued from what, exactly? Secondly, you stated "when I was young" twice in the same sentance. I may not be on the grammar Nazi boat like Caller but I couldn't help but notice that one. XD
Another thing worth noting is that FF5 doesn't have the lag like FF4 GBA did. The game responds quite nicely.

Little Big Planet does look like a fun game. It looks more like something that Nintendo would come up with which makes the fact that its on PS3 more interesting. I totally agree. I'm seriously thinking that, if I have the money, I'll put LittleBigPlanet on reserve. It seems like I'd have a lot of fun with that game. Not only can you build your own levels, but it'll come with some cool sounding levels already! Plus, it sounds like a fun platforming game. Don't see that much anymore. Oh and downloadable levels too! Cool! I have to get Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3. But I also want LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet & Clank Future (sooner or later), Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy 13 (whenever it comes out), and I'm sure there will be others. Yes, I'm getting excited about the PS3 now. Can't wait to get mine! As for what I'm playing at the moment: Animal Crossing: Wild World and some Final Fantasy 4 DS. I notice that I'm slowing down the FF4 DS at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I'm seriously distracted by the whole PS3 thing at the moment. My attention span isn't very good. lol. Well, don't have the money for the PS3 yet. Hopefully soon.
I was over at Wal-Mart today though and...the PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle wasn't there anymore. *SIGH*
That said, I'm still getting a PS3. I figure the 40gig, Metal Gear Solid 4, and I'll try to pick up a DualShock 3 too. Also, gotta remember those HDMI cables. lol.
Anyway, yesterday I played Animal Crossing: Wild World and LostWinds some.

I got to playing TMNT the Arcade Game over Xbox Live over the past weekend. It was so much fun. Unlike Halo, where majority of the players are trash talking 12 years, the people that play TMNT are adults. So naturally the conversations you have while playing are much more enjoyable. It was almost like being back in Chuckee Cheese's playing this game with a bunch of kids your age (except now we're adults). No one was arguing, everyone got along great and we just had a lot of fun. And thanks to it being a 4 turtle game I was able to unlock a few achievments too. I'm only 3 away from having all of them done. But this has been the closest thing to reliving those old days in the arcade. I loved it!
I play Halo 3 here and there as well. I'm still not very good but I can kick some ass in Sword matches. Probably cause the sword is the one weapon that takes the least amount of skill to use. In any case, I like Halo MUCH more when playing it online then playing single player. And I knew I would. I just wish I was better.
Anyone here with a 360 or who plan to get one in the future, my gamer tag is Lobster Fusion. It used to be WalrusNorfair but I changed it.
I leave for Vegas in a month from now. Final Fantasy V will hopefully be done by then. I'd hate to be gone for three weeks then come back and forget what I need to do or where i need to go XD

Soon, VERY soon, I'll have a PS3. And I might...be getting a 80gig. *crosses fingers* Hope so. We'll see... Btw, went to Gamestop today. Boy, those guys are very anti-PS3. The guy behind the counter gave me some real attitude when I said I was going to get a PS3. He made comments about how bad PS3 online is and also saying if I wanted the PS3 for the Blu-ray that was good, but that the games were nothing special. Ok, so I know I use to have an attitude (about the PS3) before, but even I knew there were some games that looked excellent for the PS3 (like Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet & Clank: Future, and Uncharted). This guy was just a 360 fanboy. He even knocked the Wii. Ugh. Anyway, I know I'm not buying my PS3 from Gamestop, whatever I do. lol. That said, I did see something awesome at Gamestop: The Orange Box for $29.99. Brand NEW! That game is a STEAL for that price.. Hmmm. I may have to consider that if I have some extra money... (love the Orange Box) Anyway, playing Animal Crossing: Wild World still. DF2506

The employees at ours are the same way. They are very much into WoW and Xbox360. They can tolerate the Wii, but they will even go out of the way to convince people NOT to buy the PS3. It's just not a favored system at any level. My friend wants it for MGS4 only.
In other news, I can't keep my focus on a game to save my life. I have to beat Eternal Sonata still. It will take me like 45 mins to do so, but I can't seem to put myself up to it. Soul Calibur is still fun to pick up and play. It's a fighter game like brawl, so it won't tire out so early. I have lots of games I'm looking into soon. Tales of Vesperia for 360, chocobo's dungeon on the wii, and a zoids game on 360 (though that's more for my friend kayla than anything. It's a strategy game, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it too). Considering the way my interest is working lately, I'll be playing all 3 at the same time and never beat a single one.
That reminds me, I haven't beaten rogue galaxy yet either... Oh well!

You know that kinda angers me how people at stores will do stuff like that when you go to buy a console that they don't like. Its none of their damn business what you buy or play so they may as well just take their attitudes and shove em up their egotistical assholes! Say that the next time they hassle you! Please! I never got anything like that when I got my PS3. Actually, it was when i bought my 360 that the people were annoying. I asked for the elite bundle, which is black, and they come out with a normal, white one. I told em that I wanted the black, elite one and the girl getting it for gave me a scoffing sound as if I was wasteing her time with my color preferance. Well guess what, little girl. Yes, the black 360 is sexier than the white one but when it comes down to it I want it for the elite bundle extras it comes with. So stfu! XD
