masaia: Sounds like its a typical Gamestop thing then. Hmm. Makes you wonder if they ask people when they hire them if they like the PS3 or not and if they do, they don't hire 'em. lol. Well, you never know! Norfair: It really makes you wonder: " Whatever happened to the Customer is always right? "*sigh* You know, I've decided that, other then reserving games (Gamestop is still the best place around here for that), I think I'll take most of my Game business to Wal-Mart from now on. At least they don't give you any attitude about anything. In any case, I'll keep you guys updated about the PS3. It looks like I'll get it soon.... DF2506

Wal-Mart also doesn't pressure you into reserving Wrath of the Lich King each and everytime you need to buy a WoW time card too... like Gamestop. I really don't like going in there, every time I buy a WoW card the guy at the counter gets REALLY excited and starts blabbering about the expansion pack, and tries to pressure me into reserving it. The guys at my Gamestop are XBrick fanboys too, so I'm sure their response to the PS3 is exactly the same. Only reason I go there is so if I buy a new game, I get get a few bucks off of the guide when I buy it.

Stephanie: Ya, they are pretty good with trade-ins, getting money off the guides, and pre-orders....
But I just don't like their attitude about the PS3. And I'm realizing more and more that they are only half-way interested in the Wii too. I know when I had an Xbox360, they were pretty friendly toward me...lol.
Anyway, I know I'm not buying my PS3 at Gamestop. Besides...they don't even have any of the 80gig. lol. Plus, extras like the HDMI cable are more expensive at Gamestop...

I think just the point is, Gamestop sucks. And it's not like we have any real options about video games stores anymore, because Gamestop bought out ALL the other ones. We used to have a Rhino Video Games store in Ocala, FL. That's one of the companies they bought out a few years ago. I absolutely adored that store. Hell, it was the first one in the chain too. Back then, you could go in and chit-chat about RPGs and other games, and you didn't get any of that whiny nonsense you get with Gamestop. I miss those days. Unfortunately, I think Wal-Mart has stopped selling those WoW Game Time cards, cuz I haven't been able to find them the past two times I've needed one. We do have a small video game store here, not related to Gamestop, but these guys seem to be just like them. Some "job", they sit on their asses all day and play video games and talk, and only stop to ring a customer up. Wonder if they have any openings?

Ryan bought Chocobo's Dungeon for the Wii. It's still as great as it was back in the day. Cept now it has annoying voice acting. Most of it IS tolerable, but the one or two that aren't seem to talk the most (the baby and the moogle). The game isn't that easy either. As I'm typing this, he's getting his ass whooped by tomatoes (yes, they brought them back).
Music is a good plus, even if almost all of it are remixes from old FF games. I'm just surprised there are hardly any FF7 remixes, and almost all from FF5. Which is a good thing, cuz I loved the music in 5 ♥

I don't know if being in Canada has anything to do with it but I've never had any problems with the people working at EB. Like I said it was HMV that gave me some hassle when I bought my 360. In fact, when i went to EB to get my new DS and my copy of FF4 DS the girl behind the counter was really cool. She was all chatty about FF4 and how much she loved it when I asked for it and it was cool talking to her. She even tried talking me into buying a copy of That's So Raven for the GBA. She was just joking ofcourse but she had a fun personality. Perhaps I would have tried asking her out but there was a dude around there that I think was her boyfriend. He didn't look like an employee and was around the counter so....oh well. FF5 has decent music. The song I really like is the one that plays everytime you fight Gilgamesh. Its this one in the link. I really like it! Speaking of FFV I am coming close to completion. I can pretty much go to the final dungeon now but I'd get ass raped if I did. I still need about 10-12 more levels and the ultimate weapons. And that involves two optional dungeons. What makes this game so hard now is that lots of enemys have spells that effect you based on your levels. For instance they can use Level 5 death which is instant KO for anyone with a level in mutiples of 5 or Level 4 Graviga which effects characters in levels multiple of 4. So it seems no matter what level my dudes are someone is gonna get spanked. XD

Battle on the Big Bridge, I love that one too. I really enjoy the remix FF12 had, and the version The Black Mages did.
I still have never beat FF5. It's not that I didn't like it, I just got distracted, because it reminded me too much of FFT. I do want to try to beat it one day.

The story sucks. I'm not gonna lie, its nothing special. The characters are boring and Ex-Death is probably the most uninteresting bad guy I've ever seen but the gameplay makes the game a lot of fun. EDIT>> And I found this as well. Exact same thing as in my last post but for SNES/PS1. I didn't know they made that many improvments on the GBA version. I knew FF4 Advance had quite a few graphical improvments but I thought FF5 was untouched with the exception of character portraits in the diologue screens. Interesting

Currently:
City of Heroes ( it's started to crash to desktop tho.... must replace computer!) FF4 DS (once you get past the 'why do all the good people keep dying?' complaints, it's actually pretty good.)
Finished recently:
Metal Gear Solid 4 (E to the P I C! EPIC! I can't choose between Laughing Octopus or the end boss for Act 4 as my favorite fight....)

I see I'm not the only one who uses and abuses Dragoon/Blue Mage in that game.
"And now we fight like men! And ladies! And men who dress like ladies! For Gilgamesh...IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!"
FFV is one of my favorites. It's that Job system. Love it love it. Music was great, characters were memorable (I didn't say good, I said memorable >.>), and it was just a blast to play.
We got the new Chocobo's Dungeon today and it's just as much fun as CD2 was on PSX. So far there hasn't been a single original song in the game. All remixed and revived old songs (even some from FFXI, never thought I'd see that) and lots of tongue-in-cheeks and *obvious* character references. There's a character Norfy would like in this game. Goes by the name of Freyja, cept she has loose, blazing red hair, a yellow hot-skirt and boots and a yellow vest.
Hmmmm.....
The game isn't for people who don't like dungeon crawlers because it's more of the same. You explore randomly generated dungeons that can go upwards of 30 or more floors and fight monsters in a semi-turn based system. If you die, you lose everything (except what's equipped), items and money, all gone, and you get to start over from the beginning. But you keep your levels and job levels.
Yep. Job Levels. Chocobo gets to use the job system this time around. Chocobo + Kitty hood = zomg.

I tried that Dragoon/Blue mage combo but the problem with White Wind is that is sucks if your characters are low on HP cause its effect is greater if you have more HP. So the less you have the less it heals for which I find pointless. The Dragoon ability Lancet is a nice one though.
I heard Choco's dungeon was out for the Wii. I never played the first one so I don't know if I'd like the new one or not. I do like dungeon crawlers.

Well, today...I bought a Playstation 3! Yes, I finally got my PS3. It was the 80gig model too! With Metal Gear Solid 4! I have to say this: the PS3 looks very cool. Very shiny & nice. Alot better then I've thought it looked (in stores). Just a very nice looking system. I also really like the menu interface on the PS3. Easy to navigate. Imo, its better then the 360's. Heck, I really like the look of the ps3 better then the 360s even. And Metal Gear Solid 4! Oh man...I've never seen a game that looked THIS great. EVER. I mean...its just...jaw-dropping. Wow. Other things: When I first turned it on, I had to do an update. That took a little while, but after it was finished, I tried a couple of PS1 games--FFtactics & FF7 work. Also got signed in on the PS3 online & I'm df2506 there. So if you have a PS3, please add me! I downloaded the Metal Gear Solid 4 theme and also downloaded a demo of echochrome (psn game). Neat game. I got a voucher for a free game called Pain for psn. I haven't downloaded it yet. I have no idea if its good or not... In any case, MGS4 is awesome! And I may get another game soon. I'm thinking maybe Ratchet & Clank Future. Love that game. Also: haven't tried my two Blu-ray movies yet. We got Casino Royle and 300. We'll probably check 'em out tomorrow. Anyway, I'm very happy right now! DF2506

Is your TV high def? If it is lemme know if you can play blu ray movies cause mine won't let me. MGS4 is a great looking game. There were a few times it actually felt like I was watching real live people in the cuscenes. Not because the chracters look 100% like real people, cause they don't, that's impossible, but because they were able to make them look as good as they did plus add in emotion and awesome voice acting so it all molds together perfectly. Its an emotional game too. I am sure you will love it. The installs happen after every chapter in MGS. The first install you have is the biggest, after that they are only 3 minutes which is no big deal. It gives you time to use the bathroom, get some snacks or drinks and to stretch/relax etc. In fact, those install times might actually be healthy for a person cause it got me off the couch for a bit. I heard the 360 supply in Japan has finally sold out not long ago. The 360s in Japan were not selling at all then Tales of Vesperwhatever comes out and the systems sell like hotcakes. I might check that out when it gets here. I skipped Legendia and I didn't mind Symphonia.

wow DF finally got the best system. lol.
Ill add you when I get home. Get ratchet! Dont download the current one until you get Future or I will kill you.
I got the new downloadable ratchet, its a continuation of Future. So far its very different. I have no weapons and its really odd only using the wrench. But still fun.
Oh, btw im Kikaro on the PSN.
