Took me 20 seconds to hate that guy in the suit. How about a little less talking and more trailer next time SE. That was pathetic. <_< Also pathetic was that guy who was barely speaking English while obviously reading a cue card. Just let the man speak Japanese! Half the video was subtitles, why did they feel the next to make that poor man break his tongue off?
That said I'm still getting the game. <.<

I didn't mind the guy in the suit but I agree it was annoying listening to that guy's english. I understand its not his native language but come on, we read that much in subs why not keep it that way.
More trailer would have been nice. But I am still looking forward to it.

This is the game's theme song that English talking Japanese dude was talking about. I can't listen to it cause my mom has the TV blairing right now. Will listen later. Its obviously gonna be your typical, girly song that Square loves using for their games. Not like I have a problem with that or anything. I'm just sayin.

I liked the video. New footage looked awesome imo & the release date...well...I wish it was this year (lol), but still, great! I'm looking forward to the game a lot. I'm so glad that they went back to a turn-based-ish battle system. Didn't care for FF12's battle system. Well, it was OK, but missed the turn-based battles. Oh and Norfair, there is exception to that rule. Remember the opening song for FFX. hehe. DF2506

I dunno how you can say that this game has a more traditional turn based battle system, even compared to XII. I seem to recall us all coming to the conclusion that XII's battle system isn't very much different at all than other games that used ATB. Ultimately, all that was different is you used gambits and you could walk around while attacking. The ATB pretty much acted exactly the same as it ever did... Considering party members are still AI controlled, I would very much say that this game is a further departure from any traditional FF battle system to date. What with all the combo queuing and stuff. Still, that doesn't mean it will be any better or worse. Personally, I do like the look of the battle system. However, I am slightly disappointed that battles take place on a separate screen. That was a big plus for me in XII that it was seamless in that matter. Although, I'm glad it won't be random encounters.... The theme song isn't my cup of tea. I'm not a Leona Lewis fan, I strongly disagree with all that reality X factor, Pop star crap, so it never was going to appeal to me. Give me that opening song from FFX anyday.

It just seems so similar to FFX-2 to me, with a touch of Kingdom Hearts Chains of Memories where you can store cards (in this case, battle commands) for later use. It looks like the ATB changes depending on what ability you use, but I don't really understand this Paradigmn (sp!) shift thing yet. Though FFXII wasn't perfect, I still think I like it best. I like customizable AI <.< XII could've used some tweaking (why do we have to wait to Attack once the meter already filled up?) and that license system never should've even saw the light of day, but I think so far, it's my favorite. I despise where Nomura is taking the summons. OK so yes it's extremely original as far as summons go, but come on, who the hell thought Transformers would be a good idea? <.< But the battle system has me intrigued if it's like FFX-2. EDIT Also, is this....Alexander? www.rpgamer.com/games/ff/ff13/screens/ff13278.jpgAnd WTF to the chocobos <.< www.rpgamer.com/games/ff/ff13/screens/ff13284.jpgwww.rpgamer.com/games/ff/ff13/screens/ff13293.jpg

It could be Alexander. WHo knows though. I am sure all the summons look way differant now that they are Transfomers. And lol at the chocobos. XD
Yeah I think it does look more like X-2's battle system as well. I hope it is. That was fun and fast paced.

Norfy's trick worked. Wow, that's an ugly chocobo. It looks more like a chicken now... I think? Still not really interested in 13. Maybe if I have extra cash lying around... but no, don't see it happening. Nice to be able to say I could actually get it if I wanted to though, now that I have a console to actually play it.

Looks like a chicken on steroids. I am thinking I will play this, if only to see what all the fuss is about.

Was in Game Stop today and saw this is being released on March 9, 2010. I pre ordered it, and the guide to go with it. I am told they are no longer playing the massive switch around with the release dates like they used to. I guess customers were gettng really mad when told their game would be here in Jan, and then not get it till June. They promise to hold tight to this release date. I figured I would get my order in and reserve my PS3 copy. Sweet! ;D
