I got this PS3 version yesterday, with the collectors edition book to go with it, and then...got a headache, and couldnt play! I was pissed! I am looking forward to cracking it open this afternoon. I have loads of errands this morning, and then I will be on this afternoon, till I fall asleep.

I am looking forward to it, I have waited sooooo long for this game.

Wow. This game just gets better and better imo.

Some new elements, in and out of the battle system have been added since I last posted. I won't say what they are, but man, they have made this game even cooler. Lots of stuff to do.

I have to say, I was a little worried about the no towns thing, but I'm not missing the towns that much. Also, the dungeon wandering reminds me of Final Fantasy 10. In that game, you were walking on a lot of straight paths too. Although FF13 mixes it up a bit more than 10 with some jumping and some neat side paths. If you think about it, FF13 is more of a "sequel" of FF10 than it is 12.

I have no problem with that. I loved FF10 and only sort of liked FF12.

Anyway, 13 is great. Its what I've been waiting for and more.

I have finally reached the point where all my party members have gotten to the same point, at the same time. its been nice to hear/learn where each one is coming from. I am just at the point, where they are going to teach me about job skills. how one can be a medic, and one can be a sentinel...I was tired, so I turned it off.

I agree that Vanille is annoying! her strange accent is just bizarre! is she aussie, british, or some strange land that is a mix of both? its annoying. I am getting that she is quite young, but she is weird. I hope as the story unfolds she will gain some depth.

Also, holy crow! these girls are skinny! not a drop of muscle on um! no fat anywhere. Heck Vanille a child has more boobs than the lead character! Girls need butts, hips, boobs, and some fat on them, to qualify as a woman! I cant imagine real men would want such a fragile, thin, shapeless creature! OMG eat a pie! They look like they are 12 year old girls.

And we are to believe that these anorexic broads can kick the shit out of multiple dudes at once yet they look like they shoudn't be able to lift a sword.....or even a dagger. ;D

Lightning does have neat looking hair though so....bonus for her I guess.

Unfortunately, Vanille is one of the better characters in battle, which sucks because that means you gotta use her. She's a healer and black mage, and her weapon is obscenely powerful and she's FAST. She's got everything going for her...but it's early so that could change as the other characters' stats catch up.

Both Vanille and Hope are way too detailed and curvaceous for children. And of course, Vanille's l'Cie mark is on her upper thigh, anything for a cheap panty shot. Which is interesting, you'd think Lightning would be the one they'd exploit, what with the mini skirt and acrobatic mid air combat...but, as Mark put it, she's got TheVoid(TM) going on up there and all you see is black. On Vanille you can see all the up. And Snow (this game's Cliff) has more clothes on than the 12 year old Hope, AND Hope is built like a bodybuilder with a 6pack and well-toned ass (which they've zoomed in on no fewer than 3 times so far).

So....far be it from me to imply pedophilia in a SE game but....well there's pedophilia going on here.

I don't know, I just cant seem to get into this game so far. WE were playing it lastn ight and got through the intro. I dont care about any of the people so far, and the two dramatic moments (Wont spoil anything) just didnt do anything for me. Hope and Vanille are driving me crazy, but I like Vanille's weapon.

I stopped at the point where they were at the restaraunt. I guess it was 11 days later. We will see how tonights game time goes.

Okay, so one thing that is pissing me off (it's not limited to just this game though) is that every 5 fucking seconds the party changes. I wouldn't mind *as* much if the second party's view point WAS AT ALL INTERESTING. But it's not.

I'm guessing you guys are all ahead of me by now, so you probably know what I'm talking about. I don't mind this sorta thing if it's done sparingly, but every 5 god damn seconds is annoying.

Other than that though, I'm still liking the game. Sure the characters (so far) are pretty boring, and you know the story isn't going to be great either (just the impression I'm getting...) but damn, is the battle system something else. This and only this so far is what is making this game the best damn thing I've played in such a long time.

They've gotten everything absolutely right with it. It's quick, it's challenging (well, sorta...) you heal after every fight (every RPG has to do this from now on >.>) and the AI is good. The only thing that is even slightly bad so far are the summons. What are the point in these... I can destroy everything quicker and easier than what-ever-the-fuck these things are supposed to be helping with. >.>

I'm not going to comment on the whole lack of towns thing, but I do feel that there is a serious problem with the pacing. But I'll go into more detail once I've seen more of the game...

Still, I don't think this is going to beat FFXII for me.

I finally got the whole party together, and am learning about the crystaliarium or WTF its called. Snow is about to get his avatar! I turned it off, I was tired, and thats a good place to stop. The tutorials require me to get up, and go stand in front of the TV to read! im just sad, aint I? Anyway its a good game, and I have learned from FF games of the past. EXPLORE! you can find tons of treasure chests with money, armor, weapons, potions, Phoenix downs, and so forth. Worth it! Slows down the story line, but worth it for better bracelets, and stuff.

I have the nice collectors guide with it. I am trying to figure out when I will be able to upgrade weapons with the crap I am collecting off dead mobs.

I had a hard time with the Shiva Sisters. I figured out all too late that you had to defend your way through it, but even then it took two tries. But they're just as disturbing as the trailers made them out to be. WTF Shivacycle. <.<

Odin was harder... but still managed to do it first try. I admit, was completely down to sheer luck though.

Btw, am I the only one that thinks Snow and Sarah's relationship is just a little fucked up!? I mean, damn. I dunno how old any of these people are supposed to be, but Snow looks like he's in his mid twenties and Sarah... Looks like she's 10 years old. Seriously.

Yeah honestly, I don't think Vanille and Hope look like kids myself. I don't know what would make me think they look older but I could tell Balthier and Basch were older in 12.

Come to think of it, they look strikingly similar to Vaan and Penelo.

HUGE feet for a child, and Vanille who is supposed to be like 12 has bigger boobs than Lightening, who is supposed to be in her ...what? mid 20s? Sarah was TEEEENY! she looked 10! No fat, no heinie, no boobs, no curves! do ANY men find this attractive? Is it a JP thing? I like Lights attitude, but damn, eat a sammich biatch!
